‘나의 구원은 하나님의 절대적 주권역사’
본문관찰과 묵상
토기장이가 똑 같은 진흙으로 각기 다른 그릇을 만들 듯이 하나님 은 어떤 이는 구원하시고 어떤 이는 멸망케 하신다. 구원받은 자는 은혜 받고 믿은 자 이며 구원받지 못한 자는 하나님이 자기 멋대로 하는자를 내버려 두셨기 때문이다.
QT 를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
자신이 하는 일이 옳다고 생각해서 공동체를 깨트리며 멋대로 사는 자는 하나님이 내버려 두심으로 심판 받는다. 말씀을 듣고 회개하고 주를 믿는 자는 토기장이의 간섭을 받음으로 구원받는다.
결단과 적용
‘나의 나 됨은 하나님의 은혜라’ (고전 15:10). 하나님이 죄 가운데 사는 나를 내버려 두지 않으시고 간섭하셨기에 말씀을 들을 때 성령의 감동으로 회개하고 구원받았다. 사랑은 간섭이다. 내버려두는 것은 자유를 얻은 것이 아니고 방종이다. 하나님은 교만한 자는 멋대로 살게 내버려둠으로 자기 죄로 멸망하는 것이다.
‘My salvation is done by God’s sovereign intervention’
Rom. 9:14-24
Observation and meditation on the text
As the potter makes different type of dishes out of the same clay, God saves some by his sovereign intervention but leaves the haughty to be perished by their own licentious life. The saved receives God’s grace and believes Jesus by God’s divine and sovereign intervention. The unsaved did not experience God’s divine intervention and live their life as they please. As a result, they perish by their own sins.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
If anyone judges themselves righteous and destroys the unity of any community of faith, God leaves them alone without making any divine intervention, and they perish by their own licentiousness. On the contrary, the saved repent their sins and believe in Jesus Christ as their own Savior and Lord by God’s divine and sovereign intervention.
Decisions and applications
‘By God’s grace, I am what I am’ (I Co 15:10). Since God has made a divine intervention into such a sinner like me instead of leaving me alone, I was deeply moved by the Holy Spirit enough to repent of my sins and saved by my faith in Jesus Christ. Love is concern and makes divine intervention. If I am left alone, it leads me to live a life of licentiousness out of my fleshly desires, not freedom in Jesus. God leaves the proud alone so that they may live by their own taste, and they perish by themselves due to their fleshly and licentious life.
