‘제사장적인 믿음의 군사로 부르시는 하나님’   본문관찰과 묵상      출애굽후 광야의 회막에서 하나님은 모세에게 인구조사를 명령했다.  모세는 가나안 정복을 위한 20세 이상 전쟁을 할 수 있는 군사를 지파별로 조직했다. 각 지파의 리더는 하나님이 택하신 자들을 세웠다.            QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성      가나안 정복은 땅만의 정복이 아니었다.  하나님을 모르는 자들에게 하나님을 알게하는 제사장적, 선교사적 소명이었다.  광야에 회막을 세운 것은 하나님중심의 삶을 살게하기 위함이었다.  리더는 자원이 아닌 택함받은자들이다.        결단과 적용      교회는 제사장적이고 선교사적인 삶을 살기위한 영적군사로 조직되어야한다.  예수의 향기, 편지, 대사로 어디로 가든지 복음을 전하는 제사장, 선교사로 살도록 양육하여 세상속으로 빛과 소금으로 파송해야 한다.  필라 안디옥교회 30년의 목회는 이런 선교적인 교회로의 목회였다.  주님께 감사드린다.          ‘God calls me to be a priestly soldier of faith.’ Num 1:1-19   Observation and meditation on the text         God ordered a census to Moses at the Tent of Meeting in the wilderness.  Moses obeyed and organized able soldiers who were over 20 years old enough to fight against the Canaanites to conquer them by their tribes.   The leaders of each tribe were chosen by God.   I hear the voice of the Lord through QT      To conquer the Canaanites meant not only pertaining to their land but also spiritual that they were called to let the natives who were idols worshipers know who God was.  It was a priestly and missional call.  They met at the Tent of Meeting, which was called Tabernacle, meant the presence of God,  to live God-centered life.   The leaders of each tribe were appointed by God, not voluntarism.    Decisions and applications      Church of Christ must be an organism, who should be organized to become priestly and missional in essence to live as spiritual soldiers.   Church of Christ must nurture and equip her members to become such priestly and missional soldiers by living as fragrance, letters, and ambassadors of Jesus Christ to send out into the world as a salt and light.   I have served Antioch Church of Philadelphia for 30 years so that Antioch Church may become such a missional church.  I praised the Lord for using me as his instrument.     

  ‘사랑으로 실패자를 회복시키는 예수’   본문관찰과 묵상      예수를 3번 부인한 베드로에게 예수는 3번 회복할 기회를 주었다.  예수의 사랑과 신뢰를 받은만큼 양을 사랑하도록 회복시켰다.  예수는 베드로가 죽임을 당해 하나님께 영광돌릴 것을 예언했다.     QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성      베드로는 요한은 어떻게 될것인가를 물었다.  예수는 남의 일에 신경쓰지 말라고 했다.  믿음의 신앙생활은 주님과 나와 독대하면서 살아야한다.  남과 비교하고 그들의 뜻을 따라 살지 않고 나는  주님 뜻대로 나는 살아가리라.         결단과 적용      교회와 성도를 살리기 위해서 나는 첫째, fact가 아닌 진리에 서야한다.  ‘사실’(fact)이란 계속 변한다.  진리는 어제,오늘, 내일이 동일하다.  둘째,  내가 무시와 조롱과 협박까지 당해도 나는 죽음으로 성도와 교회를 살린다.  셋째, 악한 영을 대적하여 쫓아냄으로 악령에 시달리는 성도들을 살려야 한다.  속은자는 죄는 없지만 피해가 크다.  그 책임은 주님앞에 회개하는 것이다.  주여, 안디옥교회가 각자 주님 앞에 회개함으로 회복 받아 첫 사랑, 첫 은혜로 하나되게 하소서!  악령은 깨지고 나뉘게 하지만 성령이여 하나되게 하소서!         ‘Jesus restores failures with his love.’ John 21:15-25   Observation and meditation on the text         For the sake of spiritual restoration of Peter who denied Jesus 3 times, Jesus gave him 3 opportunities.  Jesus restored Peter, and as much as he received Jesus’ love and trust he was charged to take care of Jesus’ sheep.   Jesus prophesied that Peter would be crucified for the glory of God.   I hear the voice of the Lord through QT      Peter was wandering how John would die and asked Jesus about his future.  Jesus told Peter to mind his own life only.  My Christian faith life should also be formed by my personal relationship with Jesus.    Therefore, I will never compare myself with others, but live only by the will of Jesus for me.   Decisions and applications      To restore church and her members first, I must stand on the Truth, not facts because facts keep on changing.  However, Truth is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.   Second, even though I am neglected, ridiculed, and threatened, I will restore church and all members by my crucifixion with Jesus.    Third, I must set people free from evil spirit by confronting and resisting Satanic power.   All who have been deceived by evil spirit are not convicted, but their spiritual life has been enormously damaged.  And they are not exempt from their responsibility and accountability as servants of God.  And the only remedy must be their repentance.   Lord, I pray that Antioch Church should be restored by all members’ repentance so that the congregation may be united again with the first love and grace they received from Jesus.   Evil spirits divide, but Oh Holy Spirit unites all of us.   

‘사명 잃은 자들을 끝까지 품어 쓰시는 예수’   본문관찰과 묵상      갈릴리 까지는 왔으나 사람낚는 사명을 잊고 디베랴에서 고기잡던 제자들을 부활하신 예수가 다시 찾았다.  밤새 고기 못잡은 저들에게 그물을 배 오른편에 던지라했고 순종했더니 153마리가 잡혔다.  예수인줄 다 깨달았다.     QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성      예수는 사명을 잊고 사는 제자들 버리지 않는다.  다시 찾아왔다.  그리고 저들을 위로하고 격려하며 사랑으로 품어주었다.  실패하는 제자들을 끝까지 버리지 않고 사명을 회복하게 하는 예수를 찬양한다.  그리고 믿고 순종한다.         결단과 적용      나도 24살 때 예수 만나고 집을 떠났다.  주의 종으로 48년을 살았다.  뒤돌아보면 죄성을 다스리지 못해 얼마나 많이 실수하고 실언하고 실패했는지 모른다.  그래도 그 때마다 다시 나를 찾아와 사랑으로 품어 여기까지 오게하신 주님을 찬양하고 감사드린다.  주의 영광을 위해 오늘도 전도하며 살리라!     ‘Jesus who embraces failures to use them.’ John 21:1-14   Observation and meditation on the text         The resurrected Jesus visited his disciples who lost their calling and vision and trying to catch fish at Tiberia in Galilee, who came to Galilee by obeying the words of the angels.  Jesus told them to cast their net on the right side of the boat, who caught nothing all night long.  When they obeyed Jesus, they caught 153 big fishes.   They realized he was the risen Jesus.   I hear the voice of the Lord through QT      Jesus never forsakes a disciple who has lost the calling of Jesus.  Jesus visited the failures.   Jesus embraced and comforted them with his love.   I praise the Lord who has never forsaken such a failure like me so that I may receive God’s calling again.   And I believe in him and obey him.   Decisions and applications      I have left my family since I was met by Jesus at 24.  And I have lived for 48 years up to now as a servant of God.   In retrospect, I confess I have made mistakes orally, and in actions and failed because I could not control my sinfulness by the Holy Spirit.  Even though I failed numerous times, the faithful Jesus my Lord came to me whenever I failed and restored me by embracing me with his immeasurable love so that I may keep on serving the Lord.   Therefore, I praise Jesus with much thanksgiving, and I keep on witnessing Jesus to give him all the glory!
