‘나는 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 하지 않나?’
본문관찰과 묵상
유대인은 하나님의 말씀을 받아 맹인, 모르는 자, 어리석은 자를 말씀으로 가르치고 인도해야 한다. 유대인 자신들이 말씀대로 살지 않고 우상을 섬기니 하나님의 이름이 모독 받게 된 것이다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
할례를 받지 않은 이방인들이 율법을 지키면 할례 받고도 율법을 지키지 않는 자들을 정죄한다. 표면적 유대인이 유대인이 아니라 내면적 유대인이 유대인이니 할례는 마음에 해야 한다.
결단과 적용
율법은 내가 순종하고 지킬 때 하나님의 칭찬을 받는다. 율법을 받은 자라 자랑만 하면 안된다. 교회에 다닌다고 다 신실한 성도는 아니다. 그리스도의 영이 내 안에 있어 주님께 순종하는 사람 들이 그리스도인이다. ‘내가 사는 것이 그리스도가 되게 하소서!’

Observation and meditation on the text
Since the Jews were entrusted God’s words, they should teach and guide the blind, the unlearned, and the foolish with the words of God. God’s name was blasphemed among the gentiles because the Jew themselves did not obey God’s words and serve the idols.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
If the uncircumcised gentiles keep the law, they can judge the circumcised Jews who never obey God. A person who is circumcised outwardly and physically is not a real Jew but a person who is circumcised inwardly and spiritually.
Decisions and applications
God commends me when I keep the law and live obediently. I must not boast of myself because I have the law and know it. Not all church goers are not sincere Christians. If the Spirit of Jesus resides in me and I obey him, I am a Christian. Lord, help me to confess, ‘to me to live is Christ’ (Phil. 1:21).
