‘하나님의 신부가 창녀의 삶을 살다’
본문관찰과 묵상
예루살렘은 하나님이 주신 금과 은, 기름과 향, 옷과 음식, 심지어 자식까지 죽여 우상을 섬겼다. 하나님의 신부가 창녀보다 더한 창녀같이 돈을 주면서 블레셋, 앗수르, 갈대와 와 행음하였다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
오늘 나는 하나님이 내게 주신 모든 은혜와 축복으로 우상을 섬기고 있지는 않는가? 심지어 자녀까지도 세상 조류대로 살게 우상에게 내주고 있지는 않는가? 영적 간음을 멈추어야 한다.
결단과 적용
하나님을 믿고 순종해야 할 내가 어떤 사람과 세상적인 강한 것을 추구하며 살지는 않는가? 먼저 하나님의 성령이 내 안에 거하시는 성전이 되도록 나의 마음속의 우상들을 오늘 하나씩 쳐부순다. 지난주에도 어제도 집에 있던 여러가지 물건들을 도네이션했다. 주님보다 더 귀한 것은 없다. 다 없애자. 훌훌 털고 살자.
‘God’s bride lives as a prostitute’
Eze 16:15-34
Observation and meditation on the text
Jerusalem served idols with what God had provided, gold and silver, oil and incense, embroidered clothes, and even their own children. God’s bride became worse than prostitutes because they worshiped such idols like Philistines, Assyria, and Chaldeans as they gave money instead of receiving from them as the worst prostitute for spiritual adultery.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Do I unconsciously serve any idols with what God has given to me as grace and blessings? Furthermore, do I let my children to be engulfed and succumbed to the trend of this sinful world to serve idols? I must help me, and my children stop committing spiritual adultery by serving any kind of idol.
Decisions and applications
I am supposed to trust and obey my God as a Christian, but such a servant of God like me unconsciously trust people or mightier things of this world than God? As I scrupulously probe my inner being I want to destroy any kind of idols in my heart so that my heart may become a temple of God where the Holy Spirit resides in. I keep on getting rid of so many things for donations last week, yesterday. Nothing else is more precious than Jesus.
