‘도피성은 모든 죄인을 위한 피난처이다’
본문 관찰과 묵상
하나님은 모세에게 명해 요단 동편에 3곳, 서편에 3곳 도피성을 세우게했다. 과실로 사람을 죽인 죄인이 그 가족에게 맞아 죽지 않고 정당한 재판을 받을수 있게 만든 피난처였다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
나 같은 죄인을 위한 영원한 피난처는 예수 그리스도다. 사람이 감당하지 못할 시험 당함을 보시면 피할 길을 주신다(고전 10:13). 그 피할 길이 내겐 예수다.
결단과 적용
‘나의 힘이 되신 주여 내가 주를 사랑 하나이다. 주는 나의 반석이요, 나의 요새시요, 나를 건지시는 이시요 나의 하나님 이시요 내가 그 안에 피할 나의 바위시요 나의 방패시요 나의 구원의 뿔 이시요 나의 산성 이시로다 내가 찬송 받으실 주께 아뢰리니 내 원수들에게서 구원을 얻으리로다’ (시 18:1-2). 아멘!
‘The city of refuge is for the sinners.’
Num 35:9-21
Observation and meditation on the text
God ordered Moses to establish 3 cities on the both sides of the Jordan River respectively, which could be the cities of refuge. They were the refuge for anyone who accidently killed people so that they would not be killed by the victims’ family until they were judged by the assembly.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
The everlasting refuge for such a sinner like me is Jesus Chrit. God is merciful enough to provide me with a way out whenever I am encountered by temptations (I Co 10:13). The way out for me is Jesus Christ all the time.
Decisions and applications
‘I love you Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies’ (I Co 10:13). Amen!!
