‘축복받은 이스라엘에서 메시야가 오신다.’
본문 관찰과 묵상
모압왕 발락의 강요에도 발람은 이스라엘을 3번이나 축복했다. 그 이유는 이스라엘에서 한 별이, 한 규가 오기 때문이다. 온 인류를 구원할 왕, 다윗의 별, 메시야가 열방을 다스려 믿는 자를 구원한다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
발람의 예언대로 다윗의 후손에게서 예수 그리스도 메시야가 오셨다. 하나님은 이스라엘을 축복하셔서 유대인 메시야를 보내신 것이다. 하나님은 미디안 점술가를 통해서 메시야를 예언하셨다.
결단과 적용
전 세계 열방은 하나님이 다스리신다. 하나님을 대적하는 모든 세력도 다시 재림하시는 메시야, 예수 그리스도의 철장권세 앞에 다 무너질 것이다. 믿고 구원받은 자들이 주님이 다스리시는 영원한 천국백성이 되어 살것이다. 그 때를 위해서 오늘을 전도하며 산다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Despite of Balak’s coercing to curse Israel, Balaam blessed Israel three times because he prophesied that a star and a scepter would rise out of Israel. The king of kings, and the star of David, the Messiah would come from the descendants of David to save the believers.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
As Balaam’s prophecy, the Messiah Jesus Christ has come from the descendants of David. That’s the reason why God kept on blessing Israel so that the Messiah would rise out of Israel. God used even a Median sorcerer to prophesy the coming of the Messiah.
Decisions and applications
Likewise, it is God who reigns over all nations. All the evil powers who resist against God will be destroyed by the sovereign power of His iron scepter. All who believe in Jesus Christ, the Messiah will reign with Jesus as the people of God’s kingdom. Therefore, I live today to witness Jesus Christ as I am expecting the Parousia someday in my life time.
