‘브엘의 생수는 피할 길 되신 예수’
본문 관찰과 묵상
이스라엘 자손은 가나안을 향해 계속 전진해 나갔다. 가나안에 가까운 모압의 경계까지 진행했다. 과거에 하나님은 모세를 통해 물을 주셨던 브올에 이르자 백성들은 다시 새 힘을 얻고 비스가산까지 이르렀다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님은 광야 같은 인생길에 지치고 힘들 때 피할 길을 주셨다. 과거에 모세를 통해 은혜 받았던 곳에 이르러 새 힘을 얻게 하고 가나안을 향한 행진을 계속 할 수 있었다.
결단과 적용
과거 부올에서 생수를 마시고 살아난 은혜의 자리와 때를 잊으면 안된다. ‘사람이 감당할 시험밖에는 너희가 당한 것이 없나니 오직 하나님은 미쁘사 너희가 감당하지 못할 시험 당함을 허락하지 아니하시고 시험 당할 즈음에 또한 피할 길을 내사 너희로 능히 감당하게 하시느니라’ (고전 10:13). 브올의 생수는 예수의 모형 이다. 시험 당할 때 피할 길은 예수다. 예수로 새 힘을 얻는다.

Observation and meditation on the text
The 2nd generation of the Israelites kept on marching on toward Canaan. They reached the border of Moab, which was the periphery of Canaan. Beer was the place where God provided them with spring water through Moses where the Jews were reminded of God’s grace they received in the past. They were encouraged there, and kept on marching on to the top of Pisgah mountain. ]
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God gave a way out to the Israelites when they became haggard and worn out in the rugged life in the wilderness. And God restored and reshaped them at the place where they received God’s abundant grace so that they could keep on marching on toward Canaan.
Decisions and applications
I must not forget how much I have been blessed and restored by the spring water of God’s grace at God’s chosen time and place. ‘No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.’ (I Co 10:13). The Spring water at Beer was a typology of Jesus Christ who is the living water. A way out for me in the time of temptation and trial is Jesus, by whom I am strengthened today to keep on marching on.
