‘십일조는 왜 드려야 하는가?’
본문 관찰과 묵상
회막에서 제사장을 돕는 레위인은 이스라엘의 장자를 대신하는 사람들이다. 그들은 기업이 없다. 이스라엘 자손들이 드리는 십일조가 기업이다. 그들은 십일조 받은 것의 십일조를 아론에게 드려 아론도 살게 한다.

십일조는 하나님을 인정하는 자만이 드리는 특권이다. 그 십일조로 성막에서 일하는 레위인이 사역을 감당했다. 레위인이 드리는 십일조는 아론이 사역하게 했다. 십일조는 받은 것 중 제일 좋은 것으로 하나님께 드려 하나님의 사역이 계속되게 한다.
결단과 적용
하나님이 나의 장자와 모든 초태생을 살렸기에 이것을 인정하는 자는 십일조를 드리는 특권을 누린다. 이 시대는 십의 2조, 3조, 9조까지 드리는 사람들이 있다. 내 받은 축복이 하나님으로 부터 온 선물임을 인정하는 사람들이다. 그 십일조가 교회사역을 하는 모든 사역자 들이 사역을 감당하게 하는 것이다. 십일조를 하지 않는 사람은 하나님을 인정하지 않는 사람들이기에 이런 사람들은 직분을 맡지 말아야 한다.

Observation and meditation on the text
The Levites who helped the priest in the tabernacle was the representatives of the first son of each household. Therefore, they did not have share or inheritance. Tithe the Israelites offered to God was their inheritance. They gave their tithe to Aaron when they received tithe from the Israelites so that Aaron also could do his ministry.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
To give tithe is the privilege to those who acknowledge God. With their tithe the Levites who worked in the temple of God could carry on their ministries. Levite’s tithe was given to Aaron so that Aaron could do his priestly ministries. I must give the best out of what I have received from God so that God’s ministries may be continually fulfilled.
Decisions and applications
I really enjoy my privilege to give tithe to the Lord because I acknowledge that it is God who has saved my first son and flock. Today, many people give not one tenth but 2 or 3 tenth, and even 9 tenth. They give generously because they recognize that what they have is a gift from God. And their tithe has enabled church to pay for all kinds of ministers so that church’s ministry would not be stopped. Those who never give their tithe never acknowledge that what they have is from God. So it is appropriate for them not to be ordained for ministries.
