‘하나님은 심장과 폐부를 감찰하신다’
본문 관찰과 묵상
다윗은 우리야의 손에 편지를 들려 요압에게 보냈다. 그 편지에는 우리야를 맹령한 전투의 앞장에 세워 죽게하라는 것이었다. 요압은 다윗에 순종했고 우리야는 죽었다. 다윗은 완벽하게 범죄를 감췄다.

그러나 ‘나 여호와는 심장과 폐부를 시험하고 각 각 그 행위와 그 행실대로 보응하나니’(렘 17:0). 다윗은 잔머리를 굴려 자신의 간음죄, 살인죄를 들키지않고 덮었다. 하나님은 보시고 악하다고 하셨다. 나는 감춰도 하나님은 아신다.
결단과 적용
하나님앞에서 코람 데오로 살리라. 나는 나의 죄를 하나님앞에 감추고 산 것이 있는가? 사람은 몰라도 하나님은 아시니 지금 이 시간 회개한다. 그리고 용서를 구한다. 나의 죄를 사하여 주소서! 그리고 하나님 앞에서 살게 하소서!

Observation and meditation on the text
David sent a letter to Joab by Uriah. David ordered Joab to put Uriah at the fiercest front line so that he might be killed. Joab obeyed the king, and Uriah was killed. David could hide his crimes perfectly.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
However, God declares: ‘I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind’ (Jere. 17:10). David cunningly deceived to cover up his sins of adultery and murder. However, it displeased God. God knows even though I perfectly deceive people.
Decisions and applications
I shall live ‘coram deo’ in the presence of God. Have I ever hided any sins before God? Since God knows even though no one knows I repent of my any such sins. And I beseech God’s forgiveness of my sins. Lord, please expunge my sins! And for the rest of my life, I shall live ‘coram deo.’
