‘치유를 넘는 부활로 하나님의 영광을 보라!’
본문관찰과 묵상
예루살렘에서 가까운 베다니에 예수님이 사랑하는 마르다와 마리아와 그의 오빠 나사로가 살았다. 나사로가 병들어 죽게되었다는 소식을 듣고도 예수는 이틀을 더 지체하신후 나사로가 죽은후에 베다니로 가셨다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
예수는 병든 자를 고치는 치유사역을 위해 급히 가지 않았다. 죽은후에 그를 무덤에서 부활시키는 기적을 통해 하나님과 아들의 영광을 드러내려했다. 예루살렘에 부활의 기적을 나타내기 위함이어서 도마도 예수와 함께 죽으러 가자고 했다. 죽은 자도 살리는 부활로 주님의 영광을 드러냈다.
결단과 적용
나도 매일 잘 죽어야 나를 부활시키시는 하나님과 아들 예수 그리스도의 영광을 나타내며 살수 있다. 내가 오늘 잘 먹고 잘 살기 위해 사는 것이 아니다. 잘 죽기위해 오늘을 산다. 잘 죽어야 부활한다. 치유를 넘어 부활을 체험하며 오늘도 부활의 첫 열매되신 예수를 증거하며 살아간다.

Observation and meditation on the text
At Bethany near Jerusalem Jesus’ beloved family was living; Martha, Mary and their brother Lazarus. When Jesus heard Lazarus was dying of illness, Jesus deliberately delayed his departure 2 more days before he went to see Lazarus.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Why? Jesus did not go immediately to heal Lazarus. Jesus planned to reveal the glory of God and himself through Lazarus’ resurrection from his tomb. At the same time, Jesus wanted to shine God’s glory in Jerusalem through Lazarus resurrection. That’s the reason why Thomas declared that he would go to Judea with Jesus to die to be raised again. Jesus wanted to reveal God’s glory through resurrection.
Decisions and applications
I must die well every day so that the glory of God and Jesus will be revealed through my resurrection. I am not living today to eat and live well. I live today to die well. If I die well, then I shall be raised again. Therefore, today I keep on witnessing Jesus who is the first fruit of resurrection so that the glory of God and Jesus will be revealed through my resurrection.
