‘나는 복음의 동역자가 있는가?’
본문 관찰과 묵상
바울은 자신이 아들처럼 신뢰하는 디모데와 자신과 함께 목숨을 내놓고 동역한 에바브로디도를 빌립보 교회에 보냈다. 두 사람은 진실된 거짓없는 믿음으로 바울과 함께 목숨을 내놓고 일한 동역자였다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
내가 끝까지 신뢰할수 있는 사람은 내가 복음으로 낳은 영적인 자녀들이다. 그들은 나와 함께 목숨을 내놓고 끝까지 동역할수 있다. 내게도 이런 사람이 있는가? 돌아본다. 인간적인 가까움이 아닌 복음의 동역자가 필요하다.
결단과 적용
전심을 다하여 신뢰하여 주고 동역하게 하여도 다 끝까지 가지는 않는다. 사랑과 신뢰를 많이 받고서도 끝까지 자기의 유익을 계신하여 등을 돌리는 사람들도 있었다. 인간적으로 잘해준 것은 오래가지 못한다. 복음전파를 위하여 생명을 던지는 사람들은 끝까지 간다. 결국 복음이 나에게 아들같은 동역자와 함께 하게 하신다. 복음의 동역자를 양육하며 살리라!
‘Do I have co-workers for the gospel?’

Observation and meditation on the text
Paul dispatched his beloved spiritual son Timothy and co-worker Epaphroditus who laid down his life to work with Paul for the gospel to the church in Philippi. Both were the co-workers with Paul who had sincere faith enough to lay down their lives for the gospel.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
I can trust till the end those who are born of the gospel through my witnessing of Jesus Christ. I can work with them because we can lay down our lives for the sake of the gospel. Do I have such co-workers? I examine myself. I desperately need such co-workers for the gospel not for humane close friendship.
Decisions and applications
Even though I entrust people, not all of them shall accompany me till the end. I have experienced some of them turned their back from me when their request was not met by me even though I have treated them with such unlimited mercy and kindness and trust. Such humane kindness eventual has made them spoiled brats, and our relationship could not last long. On the contrary, those who could lay down their lives for the sake of the gospel, our relationship lasted long. After all, it is the gospel which produces co-workers like sons who is with me till the end. I will keep on nurturing and nourishing co-workers for the sake of the gospel.
