‘쓸모없는 찌꺼기로 살 것인가?’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님은 이스라엘의 선지자, 고관, 일반백성이 자신에게 아무 쓸모없는 찌꺼기이기에 풀무불에 녹이듯 심판한다고 했다. 공동체가 무너지는 것을 막는 사람을 찾아도 없어 분노 쏟으신다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
거짓 선지자들은 복술로 하나님이 말하지 않은 것도 거짓 예언 하고 백성들도 포악으로 궁핍한자 압제하고 나그네를 학대했다. 하나님의 심판은 내가 행한대로 보응하신다.
결단과 적용
하나님의 사랑은 공의와 정의와 함께 한다. 내가 거짓 예언 하고 불의하게 산 것은 용서가 아니라 하나님의 분노를 쏟아 진멸한다. 죄에 대한 심판을 받아야 우리는 그 때 비로서 하나님이 하나님 이신 것을 깨닫고 회개한다. ‘주 여호와께서 공의와 찬송을 모든 나라 앞 에 솟아나게 하시리라’ (사 61:11).

Observation and meditation on the text
God declared that he would judge the Israelites, from the prophets, priest, high officials to all people into a furnace to be melted because they were such useless as dross to God.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
The false prophets prophesied by false visions and lying divinations. The Israelites practiced extortion, oppressed the poor and needy, mistreated the foreigners. Therefore, God’s fiery anger and judgement would fall upon them according to what they had done.
Decisions and applications
God’s love never fails to accompany with justice and righteousness. What I have prophesied falsely and lived unrighteously cannot be forgiven, rather be destroyed by God’s fiery wrath upon them. When I am judged by God’s justice, I may realize that the Lord is God and begin to repent of my sins. ‘May the sovereign Lord make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations!’ (Isa. 61:11).
