‘하나님은 나의 우상으로 나를 심판하신다’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님은 바벨론을 예루살렘과 암몬을 심판하는 도구로 삼았다. 바벨론 은 자신을 배반한 예루살렘과 암몬을 무자비하게 멸절했다. 하나님을 배반하고 바벨론을 섬기면 그 바벨론이 나를 망하게 한다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
내가 하나님보다 돈을 더 섬기면 돈이 나를 배반한다. 내가 하나님보다 나를 더 높이면 내가 나를 배반한다. 하나님 외 에는 내 삶에 더 높이는 우상이 없어야 나는 주안에서 자유하다.
결단과 적용
오늘도 나를 하나님말씀 앞에서 살핀다. 내가 그 말씀 앞에 벌거벗은 자처럼 드러난다. 그 말씀이 나의 혼과 영과 관절과 골수를 쪼개어 수술하고 나를 새롭게 소성시킨다. 모든 피조물이 ‘말씀과 기도로 거룩해진다’ (딤전 4:5). 나를 거룩하게 하소서!

Observation and meditation on the text
God used Babylonian king as God’s instrument to judge Jerusalem and Ammon. Babylon mercilessly destroyed Jerusalem and Ammon who betrayed Nebuchadnezzar. Likewise, if I betray God by serving my Babylon, it will eventually destroy me.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
If I serve money more than my God, money will betray me. If I honor myself than God, myself will ruin me eventually. Therefore, there must be no other thing for me to worship beside God, which will set me from any idol and bondages.
Decisions and applications
I scrupulously examine my inner being before God’s words. My inner being is uncovered and laid bear before God’s eyes. The living word of God penetrates even to dividing my soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart so that I may be revived and renewed (Heb 4:12). All the creations of God shall be consecrated by the word of God and prayer (I Tim. 4:5). Lord, make me holy continually!
