‘하나님은 절망 속에서 역사하신다’
본문 관찰과 묵상
에스겔은 2차 바벨론 침공 때 포로로 끌려갔다. 그발강 가에 절망 속에 있을 때 하나님이 말씀과 권능으로 임했다. 불 가운데 빛나는 쇠가 보이고 그 속에서 인간, 사자, 소, 독수리의 얼굴을 가진 4생물 이 나타났다. 성령이 가는 곳으로 4생물은 직진했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
30살된 에스겔이 제사장이었지만 그발강 가에서 절망가운데 있을 때 하나님은 그를 찾아오셨다. 그리고 환상속에서 유다백성 에게 임할 4 생물을 보았다. 4생물의 앞 얼굴은 인간, 오른쪽 얼굴은 사자, 왼쪽은 소, 뒤는 독수리였다. 4 생물은 하나님과 심판과 회복 을 위해 절망속에 성도들을 찾아오는 천사장 들이다.
결단과 적용
유다 백성들은 자신들이 하나님이 택한 백성이기에 아무렇 게나 살아도 자신들은 구원받을 것이라 착각하고 살았다. 에스겔은 북풍 속에 죄를 심판하러 오시는 하나님을 만났다. 소망은 죄를 회개하고 용서받을 때부터 시작된다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Ezekiel was taken to Babylonian captivity during the Babylon’s 2nd attack on Jerusalem. When he was among the exiles by the Kebar River in despair, the word of God came to him with the hand of the Lord was also on him. He saw a glowing metal in the brilliant light, and the front face of each of the four was a human being and the right side of the face was a lion, the left side was ox, and the back side was eagle. The 4 living creatures went straight ahead wherever the Spirit would go.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Ezekiel was a priest when he was 30, he was in total despair at the Kebar River when God came to him. And he witnessed in his vision the imminent God’s judgment with the four such powerful living creatures as human, lion, cow and eagle and the message of restoration. They were the 4 archangels accompanying God in God’s judgment and restoration.
Decisions and applications
The Judeans misunderstood that God would save them even though they live in indulgence because they were the chosen ones. However, Ezekiel was met by God in the windstorm from the North who came to judge their sins. Genuine hope begins when I am pardoned from my sins upon repentance. Today, I examine myself to repent of my sins if there is any.
