‘하나님의 때에 하나님이 일하신다’
본문관찰과 묵상
엘리사가 제자 한 사람을 불러 길르앗 라못으로 가서 예후에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕으로 삼으라고 했다. 이는 아합의 집을 하나님이 심판해 멸절하고 이세벨은 개들이 먹을 것을 선포하고 급히 도망오라고 했다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
아합의 아들 요람왕에 대한 불신이 깊은 그때에 하나님이 일하셨다. 요람왕의 신하들이 다 예후를 왕으로 옹립하였다. 하나님은 오래 참으신다. 그래도 회개하지 않으면 심판하시고 다른 사람을 세우신다.
결단과 적용
하나님의 때에 하나님은 하나님의 뜻을 펼치신다. 나를 향하여 오래 참으시는 하나님앞에 나의 우상도 다 내려놓아야 한다. 그리고 하나님의 때에 하나님이 원하시는 일을 내가 감당하여야 한다. 나를 위하여 살지 말고 주님을 위하여 주의 영광을 위하여 나를 산제물로 드리며 남은 삶을 살아가리라!

II Kings. 9:1-13
Observation and meditation on the text
Elisha sent one of his disciples to go to Ramoth Gilead to anoint Jehu son of Jehoshaphat king over Israel. He anointed Jehu with oil and told him that God would judge and destroy the house of Ahab and dogs would devour Jezebel. Elisha told his servant to hurry back home after finishing his job.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God began to work when people of Israel did not trust Joram son of Ahab. All the subjects of Joram accepted Jehu as their new king. God is patient. However, if leaders never repent of their sins, God replaces them with new ones.
Decisions and applications
God does implant God’s will at God’s time. Therefore, I have to put down all of my idols before God who is waiting for my change patiently. And I am called to carry on God’s ministries which I have received from God. Therefore, I must not live for myself, but for the glory of God. I will offer myself as a living sacrifice to God for the rest of my life.
