‘절망속에서도 끝까지 포기하지 말 것은’
본문 관찰과 묵상
고라 자손이 극심한 절망속에서 부르짖은 시다. 시편 중 가장 슬픈 시다. 재난으로 가득하고 지옥 같은 삶속에서 주의 진노하심이 임한 것 같고 친구들도 다 떠나고 그들에게는 가증한 존재가 되었다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
죽은 자처럼 되어도 시편기자는 기도를 포기하지 않았다. 사람 들은 그의 말을 무시하지만 하나님은 기도를 들으시고 응답하신다. 죽은 자는 주님을 전하지 못하기에 그가 구원받기 원하는 이유는 한가지 주의 공의 와 사랑을 전하기 위해 기도했다.
결단과 적용
내가 고난속에서 벗어나려는 이유가 무엇인가? 내가 잘 살기 위함 인가? 살려는 이유는 무엇인가? ‘여호와의 인자와 긍휼이 무궁하시므로 우리가 진멸되지 아니합니다. 이것이 아침마다 새로우니 주의 성실하심이 큽니다. 내가 여호와의 구원을 바라고 잠잠히 기다림이 좋도다’ (애가 3:22-23, 26). ‘나의 영혼이 잠잠히 하나님만 바람이여 나의 구원이 그에게서 나는도다’ (시 62:1). ‘나의 영혼아 잠잠히 하나님만 바라라 대저 나의 소망이 저로 좆아 나는도다’ (시 62:5). 기도는 잠잠히 하나님을 기다리는 것이다.

Observation and meditation on the text
One of the descendants of Korah cried out unto the Lord in extreme despair. This psalm is known as the saddest psalm. He became the repulsive person to his closest friends because he thought he was the target of God’s wrath. As a result, he was overwhelmed with troubles and lived in hell like life.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Even though he lived like a dead man, he never gave up one thing; he kept on praying to God. He believed God would listen to his prayers and answer to him even though everyone totally neglected him. In his prayers he wanted to be saved by God because a dead person could not witness God’s justice and love. His sole desire to live was to witness God through his life.
Decisions and applications
What is the reason for me to pray to God to be delivered from hell like suffering? Do I want to live a better life? What is the reason for me to be saved from eternal death? ‘Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness…It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.’ (Lam 3:22-23, 26). ‘Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him’ (Ps 62:1). ‘Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him’ (Ps 62:5). To pray is to wait for the Lord quietly.
