‘하나님은 개인과 나라의 문제도 해결하신다’
본문관찰과 묵상
엘리사의 제자들이 요단에 가서 재목을 베어와 선지자들의 숙소를 넓히려 하였다. 한 사람이 빌려온 쇠도끼가 물에 떨어졌다. 엘리사가 나뭇가지를 베어 물에 던져 떠오르게 하였다. 아람왕이 이스라엘을 아무리 비밀리에 침공해도 이스라엘이 막았다. 엘리사가 미리 알고 이스라엘 왕에게 알려주었기 때문이었다. 아람왕이 화가나서 엘리사를 잡으려 도단성을 에워쌌다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님은 한 개인의 위급한 상황도, 나라 전체의 위기도 다 해결해 주시는 전지전능하신 분이다. 그러므로 나도 어떤 형편에서도 실망하지 말고 주님께 나의 문제를 드리고 부르짖어 기도하겠다. 주님이 응답해 주실줄 믿는다.
결단과 적용
내가 24살 때 주님의 음성을 듣고 성령의 감화 감동으로 집을 떠났다. 지난 46년 동안 하나님은 나의 개인의 문제, 우리 가족의 문제들을 하나 하나 해결하여 주셨다. 물론 내가 원하는 대로 다 이루어지지 않은것들도 있다. 그러나 그 모든 것이 합력하여 선을 이루어 주셨다. 내가 원하는 대로가 아니라 하나님은 하나님이 원하시는 대로 나의 기도에 응답하신다. 기쁨으로 그 응답을 주님의 뜻으로 받아 하루 하루 기쁨과 행복함으로 살아간다.

Observation and meditation on the text
The company of the prophets who followed Elisha wanted to expand their residential place by bringing lumbers from Jordan River area. One of them borrowed iron axhead and he fell it into water while he was cutting trees. Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and he made the iron axhead float. No matter how hard king of Aram tried to attack Israel in secret, Israel never failed to guard against Aram. Elisha knew ahead of their attacks and informed to king of Israel. Out of anger, king of Aram went to Dothan and surrounded city along with his army to kill Elisha.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God is almighty and omnipotent God to solve not only individual problems but also national ones. Therefore, I will never be disappointed by hardships and afflictions, rather, I will cry out unto the Lord in prayers. I am sure the Lord my God will answer to my prayers.
Decisions and applications
When I was deeply moved by the Holy Spirit, I left my family and followed Jesus at the age of 24. Since that time on for the last 46 years as of now God has solved both my personal and communal for my family and church problems. There are many answers from God by saying no! However, everything has worked for the good even though God’s answers were the exact opposite to my prayers. I have realized that the Lord answers to my prayer not according to my wishes but according to God’s will. Therefore, even today, I live happily as I receive God’s negative answers to my prayers in happiness.
