‘핍박자들이 예수가 왕임을 선포하다’
본문 관찰과 묵상
예수는 강도 두 명과 함께 오전9시에 십자가에 못박혔다. 정오부터 오후3시까지 온 땅에 흑암이 임했다. 예수는 큰소리를 지르며 운명했다. 이때 성소 휘장이 위로부터 아래로 찢어졌다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
종교지도자들과 지나가는 사람들은 유대인의 왕이라 쓴 죄 패를 십자가 위에 붙혔다. 이스라엘의 왕아 네가 너를 구원하라 조롱 했다. 예수는 침묵속에 만민을 구원하려 십자가에서 죽으셨다.
결단과 적용
핍박자들이 죄 패에 쓰고 조롱하며 이스라엘의 왕이라고 외침으로 저들이 예수가 왕되심을 선포했다. 사명자인 나는 끝까지 침묵속에 조롱받으면 살리라. 지난 세월 칭찬과 존경을 너무 받았다. 교만하지 말고 조롱과 모욕속에 십자가의 길을 끝까지 가리라.

Observation and meditation on the text
Jesus was crucified at 9 am along with two criminals. From noon to 3 pm darkness came over the whole land. Jesus breathed his last with a loud voice.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Religious leaders and the passers by hurled insult at Jesus as they put the sign of the charge on the cross, ‘THE KING OF THE JEWS.’ They ridiculed Jesus by challenging Jesus to save himself if he was the king. Jesus died without replying to them to save all people.
Decisions and applications
All the persecutors hurled insults at Jesus by putting the sign of charge on the cross and shouting out he was the king of the Jews. By doing that they declared that JESUS WAS THE KING unconsciously. I will take the same way of Jesus as a servant of him by remaining in silence even though I am ridiculed and afflicted by people all the way to the end. I have been respected and honored by people too much. Therefore, I will humble myself and take up my cross to follow Jesus in the middle of afflictions and insults.
