‘나귀타고 예루살렘에 입성하신 예수님’
본문관찰과 묵상
예수가 나사로를 부활시킨 것을 본 사람들은 예수를 이스라엘의 왕으로 종려나무 가지를 가지고 찬송하며 맞이했다. 그러나 예수는 스가랴 선지자의 예언대로 나귀를 탄 겸손과 화평의 왕으로 입성했다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
예수의 제자들도 이 때는 깨닫지 못하였다가 예수가 부활승천하신 후에야 왜 예수가 나귀타고 입성했는지를 깨달았다. 자신을 드러내지 않고 자신을 감춤으로 메시야임을 나타내시고 낮아짐으로 높아지시고 가난함으로 부요케 되고 약함으로 강한 메시야, 그리스도임을 선포한 것이다.
결단과 적용
나도 예수의 길을 가야한다. 나를 자꾸 드러내고 자랑하지 않고 감추며 살자. 겸손으로 화평케 하고 가난하고 약함을 자랑함으로 부요하고 강한 예수의 제자로 평생 살아가자. 높아지려는 바리새인들에게 두통을 선물하자며 낮은 왕으로 오신 가장 높으신 예수를 증거하며 살리라!

Observation and meditation on the text
Those who witnessed Lazarus was resurrected by Jesus welcomed Jesus when he entered Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover as they shook the palm branches and shouted ‘Hosanna,’ Lord, please save us as they enthroned Jesus to be their king. However, Jesus rode on a young donkey as a king of humility and peace as Zachariah’s prophecy.

Even the disciples of Jesus did not understand why Jesus entered Jerusalem in that fashion until Jesus was glorified upon resurrection and ascension. Jesus revealed himself as Messiah, Christ by deliberately hiding himself, he would become higher by lowering himself, become rich by making himself poor, and strong by weakening
himself.
Decisions and applications
I also must take the way of Jesus. I must not show off or boast of myself, but I must live a hidden life. By humility I must live as a peace maker. By boasting of my poverty and weakness, I will live as a disciple of Jesus who is rich and strong. I want to give those who endeavor to be proud and haughty a severe headache by witnessing Jesus Christ who has come as a humble king, who actually the highest and the most powerful king of all kings.
