‘예수를 믿는 것이 하나님의 일 하는 것’
본문관찰과 묵상
오병이의 기적을 체험하고도 사람들은 예수님을 하나님이라고 여기지 않았다. 단지 배부른 체험을 위해 또 찾았다. 예수는 썩을 양식대신 영생의 양식을 위해 일하라고 했다. 예수를 믿는 것이 하나님의 일을 하는 것이라고 했다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
예수를 믿으면 영생의 떡을 먹음으로 영원히 배고프지도 목마르지도 않게된다. 그것이 하나님이 하시는 일이다. 예수님도 하나님의 뜻을 행하려왔기 때문이다. 하나님의 뜻은 다 구원받는 것이다. 다 영생얻는 것이다.
결단과 적용
예수를 믿으면 하나님이 원하시는 일, 곧 한사람도 잃어버리지 않고 구원받고 영생을 얻는다. 그래서 예수를 전하여 다른 사람도 구원받고 영생얻도록 하는 것이 곧 하나님의 일을 하는 것이다. 나는 오늘도 하나님의 일을 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 한다. 구원과 영생에 이르도록 복음전하며 산다.

‘To believe in Jesus is to do God’s work.’
John 6:22-40
Observation and meditation on the text
People did not understand Jesus was God even though they experienced the miracle of 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. They returned to God to be fed again. Jesus challenged them not to work for bread that would spoil, but for food that would endure to eternal life. Jesus lucidly told them to believe in the one God had sent was to do the work of God.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
If I believe in Jesus, I will eat bread for eternal life. I will never be hungry or thirsty forever, which is the work of God because Jesus came to do the work of God. God’s will is to save without losing anyone God has given to him, and raise them at the last day so that everyone may receive eternal life.
Decisions and applications
If I believe in Jesus, I can do God’s will that everyone without exception should be saved and enjoy eternal life. Therefore, to do God’s work for me is to witness Jesus so that everyone who hear the gospel may be saved and enjoy eternal life. Therefore, today I do God’s work by believing in Jesus Christ. I will preach the gospel so that every hearer may be saved and enjoy everlasting life, which is God’s will.
