‘산 자와 죽은 자 사이에 서라!’
본문 관찰과 묵상
하나님은 모세를 통해 아론의 아들 엘르아살로 250명 레위인이 분향 드렸던 향로 250 개를 쳐서 철판을 만들어 제단을 싸는 기념물이 되게 했다. 아론 자손 외에는 분향하지 못하게 했다. 그들은 모세와 아론이 레위인을 죽였다고 덤벼들었다. 하나님이 염병을 내려 심판했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
모세는 아론에게 제단의 불을 담아 향을 피워 산 자와 죽은 자 사이에 서서 백성을 위하여 중보 하게 했다. 염병에 죽은 자가 만 사천 칠백 명이었다. 산 자와 죽은 자 사이에 서서 중보 해야 한다.
결단과 적용
하나님의 질서를 파괴하고 자신이 제사장인양 향을 피웠던 고라 의 자손들은 멸망했다. 모세와 아론이 죽였다고 저항하는 자들은 염병으로 심판을 받아 죽었다. 그 사이에 서서 중보 하며 살리라!

Observation and meditation on the text
God had Moses order Aaron’s son Eleazar to hammer the 250 censers, which were used to burn the incense by the Levites and wrap the altar with the sheets to remind the Israelites only Aaron and his descendants should burn the incenses. However, people grumbled against Moses and Aaron by accusing them of slaughtering God’s people. God judged them with plague.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Moses immediately ordered Aaron to stand between the living and the dead by burning the incense in the censers in which he put the burning coals from the altar, which should be his intercessory prayers. 14,700 people died from the plague. I am also called to stand between the living and the dead for their redemption.
Decisions and applications
Korah’s households perished because they destroyed God’s spiritual order, and they burnt the incenses as if they were the priests. People who revolted against Moses and Aaron and accused them of murderers were judged by the plague. I am also called to be a mediator between the living and the dead.
