‘믿음은 나의 우상을 버리고 진리를 구하게 한다’
본문관찰과 묵상
내 믿음은 내가 원하는 우상을 버리게 한다. 그리고 주님이 원하는 진리를 구하게 한다. 나의 담대함은 내 뜻이 아닌 하나님의 뜻을 구하는 것이다. 거지처럼 나를 위한 것을 구하는 것이 나의 우상이다. 내 우상을 버리려 기도한다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
담대한 나의 기도는 주님이 원하는 것을 기도한다. 아브라함이 믿음으로 하나님이 원하시는 이삭을 아낌없이 내려놓듯이 내가 원하는 것을 내려놓는다.
결단과 적용
듭난 자는 하나님이 지키사 죄 짓지 않게 한다. 나는 악에 속한 자가 아니다. 내게 지각을 주사 진리인 예수를 찾게 한다. 그리고 그 진리안의 영생을 누리며 살게 한다. 거지처럼 내 원하는 것을 구하던 우상을 버린다. 그리고 아브라함처럼 주님이 원하시는 것을 나는 다 주께 드린다. 이것이 영생, 곧 유일하신 하나님과 그가 보내신 자 예수 그리스도를 아는 것이다 (요 17:3). ‘안다 (기노스코)는 교제다. 오늘도 길, 진리, 말씀인 예수와 교제하며 영생을 누리며 산다.

Observation and meditation on the text
My faith empowers me to cast aside my idols. Instead of clinging to them faith leads me seek the truth God wants me to know. True confidence in prayer is not about seeking my own will like a beggar chasing his own desires-which can often become my idols. I pray for the strength to desert my idols and find satisfaction in Him alone.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
“Pray with confidence to disown the idols you once desired.” I must pray for God’s will to be done in my life rather than my own. As Abraham willingly laid down his own, Isaac-surrendering what could have been an idol-I must lay down my own desires and wants before the Lord.
Decisions and applications
God never fails to protect His born-again children; He keeps us so that we do not continue in a life of sin. I am no longer under the control of the evil one in this world. God grants me the understanding to seek Jesus, who is the Truth so that I may enjoy the everlasting life. I disown my idols I once craved. Instead, I seek God’s will and offer those idols back to Him, just as Abraham offered Isaac. “This is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (Jn 17:3). The Greek word for ‘Know’ is ‘ginosko,’ which implies deep, personal fellowship. Therefore, I walk in daily fellowship with Jesus-the Way, the Truth, and the Life-and enjoy the gift of eternal life every day.
