‘내가 할 일은 내가 최선을 다한다’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님이 대적들의 계획을 파기 시키셨다. 그러나 느헤미야와 백성들은 지혜롭게 자신들이 할 일을 최선을 다했다. 백성의 절반은 일하고 절반은 무장하고 대적을 방어했다. 일하는 자도 한 손에는 병기를 한 손에 도구를 들고 최선을 다했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
문제를 놓고 기도할 때 하나님이 다 들어주시니 나는 아무것도 않해도 된다는 생각은 버려야 한다. 하나님은 하나님일을 하신다. 나는 내가 할 일을 성실하게 지혜롭게 계속해야 한다. 열심히 일하고 열심히 경계하며 느헤미야와 백성들은 최선을 다해 성벽재건을 계속했다.
결단과 적용
대적을 경계하며 모든 백성은 예루살렘 안에서 함께 잤다. 리더들부터 옷도 벗지 않고 경성하며 일했다. 어떤 상황에서도 내가 맡은 사명은 전심으로 감당하며 살리라. 다른 사람에게 절대 핑계대지 않고 내가 최선을 다해 오늘을 살리라!

Observation and meditation on the text
God frustrated the enemies’ plot. However, Nehemiah and his people wisely did their best on what they were supposed to do. Half of the people did the work while the other half were armed to protect people from the enemy’s attack. Each of the builders had weapons on one hand, and on the other hand had tools to build the walls.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
I must get rid of any slightest idea that the Lord will take care of everything if I pray to God. If I pray to God, God will do what God does for me. I must do what I am supposed to do faithfully and wisely. Nehemiah and his people did their best to keep on rebuilding the walls as they did their best to guard themselves from the enemy.
Decisions and applications
As they scrupulously watched and prepared against the enemy’s attack, all the people slept in the city of Jerusalem for safety. Leaders never took off their clothes to be awakened for the enemies and never stop rebuilding the walls. Likewise, I will do my best in my ministries today without blaming others at all.
