‘지혜자가 죽여야 할 내면의 3가지 죄성’
본문관찰과 묵상
지혜자는 말씀과 기도로 내 안에 있는 3가지 죄성을 죽여야 산다. 첫째는 게으름이다. 게으름은 다른 형태의 교만이다. 자신만 지혜롭다 여긴다. 두 번째, 속이는 말로 다툼을 일으키는 혀를 죽여야 산다. 셋째, 거짓된 마음으로 속이고 감추고 가장하는 표리부동을 죽여야 산다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
결국 지혜는 나 자신을 쳐서 예수님의 말씀에 복종시키게 한다. 육신을 따르는 자는 육신의 일을 영을 따르는 자는 영의 일을 생각하고 행하며 산다. ‘육신대로 살면 반드시 죽는다. 성령의 능력으로 육의 행실을 죽이면 산다’(롬 8:13).
결단과 적용
오늘도 QT하는 시간에 말씀으로 기도하는 시간에 성령으로 나의 죄성을 드러나게 하시고 회개할 때 나를 정결케 하시는 주님을 찬양한다. ‘말씀과 기도로 거룩하여 지나이다’(딤전 4:5). 오늘도 성결의 삶을 살게 하시는 주님께 감사와 찬양을 올려드린다.

Observation and meditation on the text
A wise man must be alive by killing his 3 sinfulness in his inner being by the living word of God and prayers. First, it is sluggishness. Laziness is another form of pride. A lazy person considers himself wise. Second, I must destroy my sinful lips which causes conflicts and fights with deceiving words. Third, I must crucify falsely pretending heart which disguises my deceitfulness.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
After all, wisdom enables me to obey the words of Jesus by striking a blow to my body and make it to my slave. If I live according to the flesh, I have my mind set on what the flesh desires; but if I live in accordance with the Spirit, I have my mind set on what the Spirit desires. ‘If you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live’(Rom. 8:13).
Decisions and applications
I praise the Lord who purifies me by revealing my sinfulness to lead to repentance while I am doing QT and prayers today. ‘Everything God created is consecrated by the word of God and prayer’ (I Tim. 4:5). I praise the Lord with much thanksgiving who empowers me to live a sanctified life.
