‘하나님의 약속이 내 것이 되게 하라!’
본문관찰과 묵상
하나님이 내게 주신 약속이 내 것이 되게 하려면 말씀에 순종해야 한다. 행동에 옮기지 않는 모든 것은 이루어지지 않는다. 르우벤, 갓, 므낫세 반 지파는 물론 모든 지파가 순종했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
모세의 젊은 후계자 여호수아가 명령하자 백성들은 모세에게 순종했듯이 새로운 리더에게 순종을 약속했다. 2지파 반은 다른 지파에 앞장서 요단 서편 정복에 순종할 것을 선포했다.
결단과 적용
은혜와 기쁨은 나눌수록 커진다. 내가 요청해서 받은 은혜가 커서 2지파 반은 기쁨으로 가나안 정복에 앞장서서 다른 지파들도 다 큰 축복받기를 원했다. 존 오트버그의 말처럼 나누지 않는 구두쇠 (miser)는 결국 비참하게(misery) 된다. 내가 받은 은혜를 오늘도 나누며 살리라! 모두에게 기쁨이 넘치게 하소서!

Observation and meditation on the text
I must obey God’s words if I want God’s promises would be mine. Unless I obey God’s words in action, Gods’ promises would never be accomplished. They will remain as day dreams. Reuben, Gad and the half of Manasseh tribe as well as the rest of the tribes obeyed God’s words.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
When Joshua, the young successor of Moses commanded, the Israelites promised to obey the new leader as they used to obey Moses. The 2 and a half tribes also declared that they would obey Joshua to conquer the land of Canaan ahead of other tribes.
Decisions and applications
The more I share God’s given grace and joy with others, the more I will have them. Since they were allowed to stay on the east side of Jordan River for their nomadic life, out of gratitude the 2 and a half tribes obeyed to conquer Canaan ahead of other tribes so that other tribes would also be blessed to receive their own land. As John Ortberg said, if I do not want to share what I have with others like a miser, then my life shall be misery. Therefore, I will share what I have received from God with others today. Lord, let all of us be happy and grow mature by sharing with one another!
