‘주님께 용서받은 자는 누구도 용서한다’  

1. 본문 관찰과 묵상

1만 달란트의 빚을 탕감 받은 자가 100 데나리온 빚진 자를 용서하지 않았다.  주인이 그를 옥에 넣었다.  70번씩 7번이라도 용서하며 살아야 한다. 

2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성

나 같은 죄인이 용서함 받아서 구원을 얻었다면 내가 용서하지 못할 사람은 없다.  70번씩 7번은 490번이 아니라 무한으로 용서하라는 음성을 듣는다.  

3. 결단과 적용

중생한 후 나의 죄를 용서받았기에 누구라도 다 용서하며 살기를 힘썼다.  그러나 나의 신뢰를 무한대로 받은 자 한 사람이 내가 협박해서 자신을 쫒아냈다는 거짓말에 많은 사람들이 속아 나를 저주하고 그를 따라갔다.  그래도 지금 까지 나는 용서하며 조용히 다 뒤집어 씌움 받고 살아간다.       

오늘의 기도

오늘까지 나를 붙들어 주신 말씀이 있다.  “우리의 싸우는 무기는 육신에 속한 것이 아니요 오직 어떤 견고한 진도 무너뜨리는 하나님의 능력이라 모든 이론을 무너뜨리며 하나님 아는 것을 대적하여 높아진 것을 다 무너뜨리고 모든 생각을 사로잡아 그리스도에게 복종하게 한다” (고후 10:3-5).  세상 사람들이 싸우는 것 같이 싸우지 않고 주님께 맡기고 오늘도 주님께 복종하며 살아가게 하소서!  예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.  

‘If I am forgiven by God, I can forgive anyone’

Mt. 18:21-35

1. Observation and Meditation

A servant who owed his master ten thousand talents was shown mercy; his master chose to cancel the entire debt. However, that same servant refused to forgive a fellow debtor who owed him a mere hundred denarii. Upon hearing this, the master was moved to anger and imprisoned him. Jesus teaches us through this that we are to forgive others not just seven times, but seventy-seven times—showing that grace should be boundless.

2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord

Through this Quiet Time, I hear the Lord speaking to my soul: If a sinner such as I has been forgiven and saved from an unpayable debt, then there is no one I cannot forgive. The Lord is calling me to forgive those who sin against me—not just 490 times, but infinitely, mirroring the grace I have received.

3. Decisions and Applications

Since being born again through Jesus’ love, I have tried my best to live a life of forgiveness. However, a person I trusted deeply betrayed me. I watched as many were deceived by his lies, and in my hurt, they reacted against me with anger because thought that I threatened him to resign.   Since then, I have chosen silence, even when faced with his false accusations. I choose to keep forgiving him, ultimately placing him in God’s hands.

Today's Prayer

Lord, these verses have enabled me to stand firm in You. Your Word reminds me: “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedience to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). I refuse to fight as the world fights—with bitterness or retaliation. Instead, I leave all judgment and justice in Your hands as I seek to remain obedient to Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
