‘마음으로부터 밖으로 변화시켜 주소서!’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
예수는 종교지도자들을 ‘외식하는 자’라고 꾸짖었다. 그들은 자신들의 전통으로 하나님의 계명을 범했다. 입술로는 하나님을 공경하나 마음은 먼 자들이었다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님의 말씀으로 심지 않은 것들은 하나님이 다 뽑아버린다. 외식하는 자들은 소경 된 인도자로 자신도 따르는 자도 다 망하게 한다. 그들의 입에서 나오는 악한 생각과 거짓 증언이 그들이 누구인지 알게한다.
3. 결단과 적용
“내가 보는 것은 사람이 보는 것과 같지 않다. 사람은 외모를 보거니와 나 여호와는 중심을 보느니라” (삼상 16:7). 나도 사람의 외모를 보고 속은 것이 많다. 그 사람의 속에서 나오는 말이 악한생각과 거짓이라면 속지 말아야 한다.
오늘의 기도
주여 내게 영적 분별력을 갑절이나 더해 주소서! “영을 다 믿지 말고 오직 영들이 하나님께 속하였는지 분별케 하소서 왜냐하면 많은 거짓 선지자들이 세상에 나왔음이라” (요일 4:1). “하나님이여 내 속에 정한 마음을 창조 하 시고 내 안에 정직한 영을 새롭게 하소서…. 주의 성령을 내게 서 거두지 마소서” (시 51:10-11). 예수님의 이름으로 기도 합니다.
‘Lord, Transform Me from the Inside Out’
Mt. 15:1–20
1. Observation and Meditation
Jesus vehemently rebuked religious leaders, such as the Pharisees and teachers of the Law, calling them “hypocrites.” They nullified God’s Word for the sake of their traditions. While they honored God with their lips, their hearts were far from Him.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
Every plant that God has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Hypocrites are blind guides; both the guides and their followers will fall into a pit. Their evil thoughts and false testimonies eventually reveal their true identities.
3. Decisions and Applications
“The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Sam 16:7). I have occasionally been deceived by the outward appearance of hypocrites. My experiences remind me never to be misled by words born of evil spirits or false testimonies.
Today's Prayer
Lord, fill me with a double portion of the spirit of discernment! Help me to "not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God because many false prophets have gone out into the world" (1 Jn. 4:1). “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me; do not take Your Holy Spirit from me” (Ps. 51:10-11). In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
