‘깨어 있는 제자와 잠자는 제자’
본문 관찰과 묵상
예수는 습관대로 감람 산 정상 겟세마네 동산에서 엎드려 기도했다. 제자들에게 OJT로 기도를 가르쳤다. 그러나 3번이나 깨어 기도하라 해도 제자들은 육신이 피곤해서 기도하지 못했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
예수의 기도의 가르침을 내가 듣는다. 기도는 영적으로 깨어 있는 제가가 예수 따라 기도한다. 첫째, 기도하면 하나님의 뜻을 깨닫는다. 둘째, 기도하면 시험을 예방한다. 셋째, 기도하는 제자는 천사가 힘을 돕는다. 예수는 기도로 십자가의 길을 담대히 갔다.
결단과 적용
나는 기도로 깨어 있는 제자인가? 문제에 눌려 영적으로 잠자고 있는가? ‘만물의 마지막이 가까 왔으니 그러므로 너희는 정신을 차리고 근신하여 기도하라 (벧전 4:7). 오늘도 예수 따라 기도하며 주님의 말씀에 순종하며 산다. 주님이 감당할 힘을 주시니 감사드린다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Jesus went out as usual to Gethsemane, the summit of the Mount Olives and knelt down and prayed. Jesus taught his disciples how to pray by showing them through On the Job Training. However, his disciples could not pray but slept because they were haggard.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
I hear the teachings on prayer from Jesus. If I am alert and awakened disciple, I can pray with Jesus. First, if I pray, I discern God’s will for me. Second, if I pray, I can prevent myself from falling into any temptations. Third, if I pray, I will be strengthened by the angels. Jesus was empowered enough to take the way of the cross.
Decisions and applications
Am I alert and of sober mind to pray spiritually? Or am I sleeping because I am depressed spiritually? ‘The end of all things is near. Therefore, be alert and sober mind so that you may pray’ (I Pet 4:7). I just follow Jesus today as I obey his words. I give thanks to my Lord for his empowering me to carry on my ministries.
