‘은혜를 헛되이 받지 말라’

1. 본문 관찰과 묵상

출애굽 한 조상들은 홍해바다를 건너며 세례를 받았다.  신령한 양식인 만나를 먹고 반석인 예수 그리스도에게서 나온 생수를 마셨다.  영적 체험을 하였다.

2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성

그러나 그들은 영적 음행인 우상숭배에 빠졌다.  주를 시험하고 원망하다가 가나안에 들어가지 못했다.  오늘 나를 깨우기 위한 본보기다.  

3. 결단과 적용 

나도 하나님이 주신 은혜를 크게 받았다.  내게는 무엇이 우상인가?  어떤 일에도 주를 시험하거나 원망하지 않고 묵묵히 살아간다.  거짓과 진리는 언젠가는 밝혀진다.  

오늘의 기도

주여, 은혜를 헛되이 받지 않게 하소서.  어떤 억울하고 원통한 일이 생겨도 사람과 싸우지 않고 피할 길이신 예수님께 나가게 하소서.  예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.   

‘Not to receive God’s grace in vain’

I Co. 10:1-13

1. Observation and Meditation

The ancestors of the Jews were baptized in the cloud and the Red Sea. They ate manna, the spiritual food, and drank spiritual drink from the Rock, who is Jesus Christ. They experienced God’s grace in profound, spiritual ways.

2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord through QT

However, despite experiencing His grace, they fell into idolatry. They tested God and grumbled against Him, and as a result, they were not allowed to enter the Promised Land. These events were recorded as a warning for me today.

3. Decisions and Applications

I, too, have received unprecedented and unimaginable grace from God through Jesus Christ. Reflecting on this, I must ask myself: What is my idol right now? No matter what happens, I decide never to test the Lord or complain against Him. God never fails to reveal what is fake and what is true in His perfect time.

Today's Prayer

Lord, never let me receive Your grace in vain. No matter what happens to me—even if I suffer injustice and false accusations—help me not to fight against those who betray me. Instead, let me run to Jesus, who is my way out and my ultimate escape. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
