‘나는 잠잠하나 주님은 잠잠치 마소서’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
거짓된 입과 혀로 악으로 선을 갚는 자를 나는 잠잠하나 하나님은 잠잠치 마소서. 그가 죄인으로 심판 받게 하시고 자손이 끊어지고 주님의 인자가 끊어지게 하소서.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
거짓으로 다윗을 대적하는 자들로 고통 당할 때 다윗은 잠잠했다. 그러나 하나님은 잠잠치 마시고 공의와 정의로 심판해 주실 것을 간구했다.
3. 결단과 적용
악을 선으로 갚는 자는 오늘도 거짓 고소로 사람들을 속이며 형통하다고 자랑한다. 나는 고난을 당하지만 잠잠히 하나님만 바란다. 하나님이 심판해 주소서!
오늘의 기도
거짓 고소를 당해 억울할 때 잠잠 할 수 있게 능력주신 주님을 찬양합니다. 사람의 인정보다 주님의 인정함을 받고 살게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘I will keep silent, but You must not remain silent, O Lord.’’
Ps. 109:1–16
1. Observation and meditation on the text
I choose silence in the face of my adversaries—those who return evil for good and falsely accuse me with malicious words. Let them be held accountable to God's perfect justice, facing the consequences of their sin without passing a legacy of mercy to their descendants.
2. I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Through this text, I see that King David chose silence when facing the false accusations of his enemies. Instead of defending himself to men, he pleaded for God to break His silence and execute divine justice and righteousness.
3. Decisions and applications
The proud and arrogant, who routinely repay kindness with malice, boast of their worldly success while deceiving the innocent. Though my affliction is heavy, I will hold my peace and trust entirely in the Lord, our ultimate Judge.
Today's Prayer
Lord, I praise You for Your giving me the strength to remain quiet in the face of false accusations. Grant me the continued grace to seek Your approval alone, rather than begging for human recognition. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
