‘레위인들은 땅 대신 하나님이 기업’
본문관찰과 묵상
모든 지파에게 땅을 기업으로 주고 레위인에게는 땅을 주지 않고 하나님이 기업이 되었다. 그러나 그들이 살 수 있는 성읍과 가축을 먹일 목초지를 기업을 받은 지파들이 나누어 주었다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
레위지파는 제사장의 지파였다. 오늘 택함 받고 구원받은 모든 성도의 모형이다. 우리에게는 하나님과 하나님의 나라가 기업이다. 그리고 우리 자신들이 복음을 전해줄 하나님의 기업이 되었다.
결단과 적용
나도 예정안에서 하나님의 기업이 되었다 (엡 1:11). 그러므로 나의 삶을 통해 그리스도 안에서 하나님께 영광의 찬송이 되었다. 내가 예수를 증거하고 전하는 하나님의 기업이다. 나를 통해 열방이 주님께로 돌아오는 복음의 증인으로 살리라. ‘아름답도다 좋은 소식 을 전하는 자들의 발이여 !’ (롬 10:15).
‘Levites’ inheritance was God, not the land’

Observation and meditation on the text
Joshua obeyed God and gave the land according to the tribes by casting a lot, but the Levites did not receive the land. Their inheritance was Godself. However, each tribe gave towns and pasturelands so that the Levites could live in and feed the flock.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Levites were chosen as priests. They were the typology of contemporary priests who are chosen and saved by God. Therefore, my inheritance is not the land but God’s kingdom as well as Godself. Furthermore, I have been chosen to be God’s inheritance in his kingdom to share the gospel of Jesus to all nations.
Decisions and applications
I have been chosen as God’s inheritance according to God’s predestination (Eph. 1:11). Therefore, I have become a praise of God’s glory in Jesus Christ through my priestly life. I am God’s inheritance to witness Jesus Christ. Therefore, I will live as a witness of Jesus so that all nations may return to God. ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’ (Rom. 10:15).
