‘재림 때 통곡하는 자와 기뻐하는 자’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
예수님의 재림 때 믿지 않는 자는 통곡하고 택함 받아 믿는 자는 기쁨의 날이다. 무화과 나무를 보며 여름 이 온 줄 알듯이 말세의 징조를 분별하여 재림을 준비한다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
환난후에 자연계가 고통 당할 때가 재림의 징조다. 지금 전 세계가 전쟁과 기근과 환난으로 고통하고 있다. 주님 오실 날이 가까이 옴을 깨닫고 산다.
3. 결단과 적용
재림의 날이 심판의 날이지만 믿는 자 에게는 영원한 기쁨의 날이다. 주님이 택하시고 구원하신 나를 주님 나라로 인도하신다. 마라나타! 주 예수여 어서 오시옵소서!
오늘의 기도
주님이 오실 날을 고대합니다. 믿지 않는 불신자는 통곡의 날이지만 나에게는 영생으로 인도받는 기쁨의 날을 주심을 감사합니다. 오늘도 주의 재림을 기다리며 살게 하소서! 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.
‘Parousia differentiates the joyful from the mourner’
Mt. 24: 29-35
1. Observation and Meditation
At the Parousia, unbelievers will mourn, but the chosen and the faithful will rejoice. Just as we know summer is around the corner when the fig tree begins to sprout its leaves, we can discern that the Parousia is near by observing the signs of the end times. This awareness prompts us to live in a state of preparation.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
I recognize the signs of the imminent Parousia in the suffering of all creation and the agony of humanity. The world is currently burdened by wars and famines. Seeing these signs, I am called to live today with intentionality, preparing for the Lord’s return and discerning the times we are in.
3. Decisions and Applications
Although the Parousia is a day of divine judgment, for a believer like me, it is a day of everlasting joy. The Lord has chosen and saved me to bring me into His kingdom. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
Today's Prayer
Lord, I eagerly await Your return. Thank You for transforming what would be a day of disaster into a day of glorious, everlasting life for me. Help me to live this day with a "Maranatha" heart, yearning for Your presence and sharing Your hope with those who mourn. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
