‘싸워야 할 대적은 누구인가?’
1. 본문 관찰 및 묵상
다윗이 사울을 피해 숨어있을 때 사울과 동족 인 베냐민 지파 중 아마새를 비롯해 갓, 유다, 므낫세 지파 자손 중 사람들이 다윗에게 나왔다. 하나님이 다윗을 택했기 때문이었다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
다윗이 블레셋과 연합해서 사울을 치려 했으나 하나님이 간섭하여 불레셋이 이를 거부함으로 다윗은 사울과 대적하지 않았다. 다윗은 끝까지 사울에 손을 대지 않았다.
3. 결단 및 적용
나도 손을 대고 싶은 사람이 있었으나 끝까지 하나님이 막으셨다. 오히려 내가 거짓고소로 당했으나 그것도 예수님을 바라봄으로 이기게 하셨다. 내가 싸울 적은 악한 영이다.
*오늘의 기도
“우리의 씨름은 혈과 육을 상대하는 것이 아니요 통치자 들과 권세들과 이 어둠의 세상 주관자들과 하늘에 있는 악의 영들을 상대함이라” (엡 6:12). 주여, 오늘도 사람과 싸우지 않고 악한 영을 대적하게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘Who is my enemy to fight?’
1 Chronicles 12:1–22
1. Observation and meditation on the Text
While David was hiding from Saul, men from various tribes—including Benjamin, Gad, Judah, and Manasseh—came to support him. Notably, Amasai, chief of the thirty, came from Saul's own tribe of Benjamin. They all recognized that God had chosen David to lead.
2. I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
When David was aligned with the Philistines and prepared to go to battle, God intervened by causing the Philistine commanders to reject David's help. As a result, David was spared from fighting against Saul or harming God's anointed leader, leaving judgment entirely in God's hands.
3. Decision and Application
I strongly wanted to fight back against someone recently, but God stopped me. Even though I was falsely accused by this person, I have chosen not to retaliate, keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus instead. I recognize that my true battle is not with this individual, but with the spiritual forces at work behind the situation.
*Today’s prayer
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). Lord, give me the strength today not to fight against people, but to stand firm against the spiritual forces of evil influencing them. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
