‘승리후에는 항상 마귀가 틈탄다’
본문관찰과 묵상
아이성을 정복한 승리후에 가나안 여러족속은 연합해 이스라엘을 막으려했다. 그러나 히위 족속 중에 기브온 사람은 꾀를 내어 이스라엘을 속이고 화친조약을 맺는다. 승리에 취한 이스라엘은 작은 일이라 하나님께 묻지 않고 속아서 화친조약을 맺는다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
30년 목회후에 육신이 망가진 나는 작은 일을 대수롭지 않게 여기 다가 큰 낭패를 보았다. 하나님께 묻지 않고 일을 했다가 엄청난 큰 일을 겪었다. 나는 육신이 약해짐으로 마귀의 속임에 빠졌다.
결단과 적용
승리에 취해서도 속을 수 있지만 환난가운데 있을 때에도 쉽게 속 을 수 있음을 체험했다. 어떤 일도 작은 일이 아니다. 작다고 생각 되는 일 일수록 주님께 묻고 응답 받아야 한다. 세밀하신 하나님 앞 에 세밀하지 않은 일은 없다. 매사에 기도하고 응답 받고 행하리라.

Observation and meditation on the text
When Israel conquered Ai victoriously all the kings of indigenous people groups were united to fight against Israel. However, among the Hivites people some residents in Gibeon resorted to a ruse: they deceived Israel, and Joshua made a treat of peace with them without asking God as he considered as if it was a minor issue.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
I had a similar experience as I took care of an issue negligently considering it as a minor when I was suffering from physical weaknesses after victorious pastoral ministries for 30 years. I did not ask God what to do and mishandled it. As a result, I experienced unprecedented spiritual uproar. I was deceived by Satan when I was in severe physical weaknesses in despair.
Decisions and applications
I may be deceived when I grow haughtiness when everything goes very well. However, in my case, when I wanted to give up due to my health issue, I was deceived by evil spirit. Therefore, I realize nothing is small to be neglected in life. The more I think this issue is small the more I need to get God’s answer in prayers. There is no small thing before God who takes care of minor things scrupulously and seriously. I will never take anything small, but I pray to God to get God’s answer.
