‘주의 언약이 고난을 이기게 한다’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
내게 약속하신 주의 언약을 기억해 달라고 기도한다. 고통과 핍박속에서도 말씀대로 사는 것은 주의 언약을 기억하기 때문이다. 그래서 고난 중에도 말씀에 순종해 살아간다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
빌립보 감옥에 갇힌 바울과 실라 처럼 내가 고난의 한 밤중에도 일어나 찬송하며 감사기도 드리는 것은 내게 약속한 언약을 주님이 지켜 주심을 믿기 때문이다.
3. 결단과 적용
복음을 전하는 자의 삶에 따르는 것은 고난이다. “하나님의 능력을 따라 복음과 함께 고난을 받으라” (딤후 1:8).
오늘의 기도
“나로 말미암아 너희를 욕하고 박해하고 거짓으로 너희를 거슬러 모든 악한 말을 할 때에는 너희에게 복이 있나니 기뻐하고 즐거워하라 하늘에서 너희의 상이 큼이라 너희 전에 있던 선지자들도 이같이 박해하였느니라” (마 5:11-12). 오늘도 나 자신을 부인하며 묵묵히 내 십자가 지고 주를 따르게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
‘God’s covenant enables me to overcome suffering’
Ps. 119:49–64
1. Observation and meditation on the text
I pray for God to remember the covenant He made with me. In times of suffering and hardship, I remain faithful and obey the Lord because I remember His calling and His promise.
2. I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Just as Paul and Silas praised God with prayer and hymns in prison at midnight, I will worship Him in dark times. I hold fast to the belief that God will fulfill His covenant, regardless of my circumstances.
3. Decisions and applications
Sufferings and hardships are inevitable for God's servants who are called to witness for Jesus. I will respond to the call to "join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God" (2 Timothy 1:8).

"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." — Matthew 5:11–12
Lord, strengthen me today to deny myself, take up my cross, and follow You faithfully. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
