‘모세가 2지파 반과 레위지파에 한일’
본문관찰과 묵상
모세는 르우벤 지파에 요단 동편에 기업을 주었다. 아모리족속의 시혼왕와 미디안의 귀족과 점술가 발람도 칼로 죽였다. 갓 지파 에 게는 암몬족속의 땅을 주었고 므낫세 반지파에게는 바산왕 옥을 죽이고 그 땅을 주었다. 레위지파에게는 분깃을 주지 않았다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
모세가 한 일은 약속의 땅을 정복한후 ‘헤렘’으로 모든 왕들과 귀족과 거짓선지자들을 죽여 하나님께 드렸다. 레위지파는 하나님이 그들이 기업이기에 땅을 주지 않았다. 여호수아도 모세가 한 그대로를 순종했다.
결단과 적용
모세에서 여호수아로 대를 물려 하나님께 순종한 영적리더들로 인해 이스라엘 공동체는 약속의 땅을 쟁취했다. 엘리야에서 엘리사로, 바울에서 디모데로 대를 물려 순종할 때 기업을 받는다.

Observation and meditation on the text
of Jordan to Reuben. He killed Sihon king of the Amorites along with the chiefs of the Midianites and Balaam the sorcerer. Moses gave the land of the Amorites to Gad tribe. He killed Ok king of Bashan and gave the land to the half tribe of Manasseh. Zelophehad’s daughters received inheritance even though there were no sons too.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
What Moses had done after conquering the promised land was to kill all the indigenous kings and tribal chiefs and gave them as ‘herem’ to God. Moses did not give any inheritance to the tribe of Levi because God was their inheritance. Moses’ successor Joshua did the exact same things as Moses did.
Decisions and applications
The faith community of Israel received God’s inheritances by such obedient leaders as Moses and Joshua from generation to generation. Such spiritual transitions as from Elijah to Elisha, from Paul to Timoty, their obedience from generation to generation passed God’s inheritances to the next generation. I also obey the Lord no matter what may happen to me.
