‘나를 위해 공동체를 죽이지 말고 내가 죽어라!’
본문관찰과 묵상
유언적인 말씀을 하고 예수는 감람산 겟세마네 동산으로 갔다. 유다가 종교지도자들의 종들과 횃불과 무기를 가지고 예수를 잡으러 왔다. 예수는 자신이 나사렛 예수니 잡고 제자들은 놓아주라고 했다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
베드로는 대제사장 말고의 오른쪽 귀를 베었다. 예수는 칼을 칼 집에 꽂으라하고 자신이 죽겠다고 했다. 예수가 잡혀 대제사장 안나스에게 끌려갔다. 그해 대제사장 가야바의 장인이었고 가야바는 한 사람이 유대인을 위해 죽은 것이 유익하다고 권고한 자였다. 저들은 자기유익을 위해 예수를 죽이려 했고 예수는 모든 죄인을 위해 죽으려 했다.
결단과 적용
자신의 유익이나 명예를 위해 교회와 성도를 죽이는 자가 있다. 또 교회와 성도와 죄인들을 위해 죄인의 멍에를 쓰고 죽는 자도 있다. 하나되게 하려고 죽는 사람이 있고 자신의 명예와 이를 위해 죽이는 사람이 있다. 성령은 하나되게 하는 영이고 악령은 거짓으로 죽이는 영이다. 악한영을 대적하여 쫓아내고 그 사람을 살리는 것이 전도요 선교다. 하나되게 하는 성령으로 하나님께 영광돌리게 하소서!

Observation and meditation on the text
No sooner Jesus spoke his last will to the disciples than he went up to the Gethsemane, the summit of the Mt. Olive. Judas Iscariot who was supported by the servants of the religious leaders came with torches and weapons to arrest Jesus. Jesus revealed by himself to them that he was Jesus of Nazareth.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Peter cut off the right ear of Malchus, who was a servant of the high priest. Jesus rebuked Peter to put back his sword into the sheath because he was ready to die. Jesus was arrested and taken to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest that year, who advised that for the sake of Jews it was good for one man to die.
Decisions and applications
There are a few who destroy the church and her members for the sake of their benefit or reputation. On the other hand, there are some who kill themselves for the sake of the church and her members even though they are falsely accused. Some die by themselves for the sake of unity, others destroy it for the sake of their reputation and interests. The Holy Spirit unites, but the evil spirits divide by lies. To resist and drive out the evil spirits out of people to save them is evangelism and missions. Since God is glorified when a faith community is united, I pray that all of us may glorify God by doing our best in prayers and fasting to unite the divided and broken church of Christ.
