‘진리를 알고도 불순종하는 자와 순종 하는 자’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
종교지도자들은 진리를 알면서도 불순종 했다. 자신들의 권위로 진리인 예수를 죽이려고 했다. 그러나 세례 요한의 설교에 세리와 창기는 회개하고 세례를 받았다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
예수는 진리에 순종해서 회개한 세리와 창기가 회개하지 못하고 권위만 세우려는 자들보다 천국에 먼저 들어간다고 했다.
3. 결단과 적용
나도 지금이라도 진리이신 예수의 권위 앞에서 회개하고 천국 백성으로 살아야 한다. 권위는 진리이신 예수와 예수의 길을 예비하기 위해 “의의 도” 로 온 세례 요한 이 주께로부터 받은 권위에 회개하고 순종하는 것이다.

주여 나도 종교지도자의 한 사람으로써 내 경력과 약력으로 권위삼지 않게 하소서! 하늘의 권세를 가지고 오신 예수 그리스도와 그의 길을 예비하는 모든 종들에게 주신 영적권위에 순종하게 하소서! 매일 나를 쳐서 복종시켜서 복음을 전한 후에 버림받는 자가 되지 않게 하소서! 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.
‘The disobedient vs the obedient’
Mt. 21:23-32
1. Observation and Meditation
In Matthew 21, we see a clash between two types of people. On one side are the High Priests and Elders—men who possessed "truth" in their heads but used their religious authority as a shield against conviction. They didn't just ignore the Truth; they actively tried to silence it to protect their status.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
On the other side are the "sinners"—tax collectors and prostitutes. While the leaders had the "correct" outward appearance but stagnant hearts, these outcasts had messy lives but repentant spirits. They heard the message of John the Baptist and Jesus, recognized "The Way of Righteousness," and surrendered.
3. Decisions and Applications
Repentance is the bridge between knowing the truth and living in the Kingdom. Today, I must ensure that my knowledge of Christ doesn't become a source of pride that makes me "disobedient." True obedience isn't found in a title or a religious position; it is found in the daily surrender of my will to the authority of Jesus.
Today's Prayer
"Lord Jesus, help me today to never rely on outward appearances or worldly authority. Empower me to submit to Your Word and the 'way of righteousness' revealed through Your servants. I never want to be someone who preaches the truth to others only to be discarded myself because of pride. Like the Apostle Paul, I choose to discipline my heart and body, making them submissive to You, so that I may remain faithful to the end. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
