‘나의 힘을 빼면 주의 능력이 임한다’
본문관찰과 묵상
가나안 정복을 위한 마지막 전쟁은 북부지역 정벌이었다. 남부지역이 이스라엘에 정복당했다는 소식을 듣고 하솔왕 야빈이 북부지역 모든 왕들과 연합해 이스라엘을 공격했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님을 믿으면 도저히 이길수 없는 상황의 두려움에서 자유 하다. 엄청난 군사력을 더 할 수 있는 현지인들을 노예로 삼지 않고 다 죽이고 말 뒷발의 힘줄을 끊고 병거를 불사르는 순종은 의미는?
결단과 적용
그런 것들에 의존하지 않고 하나님만을 의지하는 믿음의 결단이다. 내 힘을 빼면 뺄수록 하나님은 더욱 크신 능력의 하나님으로 내게 임하신다. ‘너는 칼과 단창으로 오지만 나는 하나님의 이름으로 간다’ (삼상 17:45). 다윗의 믿음이 나의 믿음이 되게 하심을, 하박국 의 선포가 나의 선포됨을 감사하고 찬양한다.

Observation and meditation on the text
The last battle to conquer the promised land was to subjugate the northern land. Upon hearing the bad news that the southern land was conquered by the Israelites, Jabin, king of Hazor challenged the kings of the northern land. They decided to band together to fight against Israel.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God enables me to be set free from the fear of the seemingly insurmountable situations if I believe in God. What in the world is the meaning of such unbelievable obedience for Joshua not to enslave the indigenous people and hamstrung their horses and burnt chariots, which could have empowered their army forces?
Decisions and applications
It was an adamant determination of Joshua to rely on the Lord only, instead of depending upon them. The more I decrease my power, the more God’s power increase on me. ‘Goliath, you come against me with the sword, spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty’ (I Sam. 17:45). Lord, let David’s faith be mine! Habakkuk’s faith too!
