‘같은 것을 보고 생각이 다른 이유’
본문 관찰과 묵상
정탐꾼이 돌아와 보고했다. 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅이지만 그곳 사람들에 비교하면 우리는 메뚜기다. 우리는 정복할수 없다고 했다. 갈렙은 하나님의 언약이니 우리가 능히 이길 것이라고 선포했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
같은 땅과 사람들을 보고 생각이 다른 이유는? 첫째, 자신과 남을 비교하며 열등감에 빠진다. 둘째, 하나님과 그의 언약을 믿는 것이 아니라 문제를 믿기 때문이다. 셋째, 이런 지런 핑계는 믿음 없음을 합리화하는 것이다.
결단과 적용
내 앞에 보이는 문제는 크다. 그러나 나는 문제를 해결하시는 더 크신 하나님을 본다. 그리고 하나님의 언약을 믿는다. ‘하나님이 나와 함께 하시면 누가 나를 대적하리요!’ (롬 8:31). 오늘도 주님만 바라보며 문제들을 정면으로 뚫고 지나간다. 말씀에 생명을 건다.

Observation and meditation on the text
The exploration team reported what they saw from the land of Canaan. They said indeed it did flow with milk and honey. However, before the Canaanites they thought they were mere grasshoppers. Therefore, it was impossible for them to conquer. However, Caleb declared that they could conquer the land simply because God had promised to give the land to them.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Why do people differ their viewpoint as they witness the same thing? First, people fall into inferiority complex as they compare themselves with others. Second, they believe what they see instead of believing in God and God’s covenant. Third, their excuses are their pretext to rationalize their unbelief.
Decisions and applications
What I see before me is a gigantic problem. However, I see God who is greater and mightier than what I see physically. And I believe in the almighty God’s covenant. ‘If God is for me, who can be against me?’ (Rom 8:31). As I fix my eyes upon God, I break through problems head on. I give my life to God’s words.
