‘육신에 속한 자들이 세우는 교회’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
고린도교회 성도들은 거듭났으나 아직 어린 아이와 같은 “육신에 속한 자들” 이었다. 그래서 사람중심으로 파당을 지어 교회를 분열시켰다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
바울, 게바, 아볼로는 동역자로 심고 물주었다. 그러나 자라게 하시는 이는 사람이 아닌 하나님이다. 바울은 교회의 터를 그리스도 위에 세웠다.
3. 결단과 적용
금, 은 보석으로 지은 교회는 불 시험을 견딘다. 나무, 풀, 짚으로 세운 교회는 불에 타 없어진다. 그 위에 세운 공적이 그대로 있어야 상을 받는다. 불 시험을 견뎌야 한다.
오늘의 기도
“너희를 연단하려고 오는 불 시험을 이상한 일 당하는 것같이 이상히 여기지 말라. 오히려 그리스도의 고난에 참여하는 것으로 즐거워하라” (벧전 4). 주여 오늘도 불 시험을 다 견뎌 정금이 되어 나오게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.
‘Keep His Church United by the Holy Spirit’
I Co. 3:16–23
1. Observation and Meditation
In the Old Testament, God resided in a physical temple. In the New Testament, I am God’s temple, and the Spirit of God dwells among all church members. A true crisis arises when we attempt to divide what the Holy Spirit has already united.
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord through QT
Through this text, I hear the Lord speaking: Paul, Peter, Apollos, and all believers constitute the holy temple of God, bound together by the Holy Spirit. They belong to Jesus, and Jesus belongs to God. Therefore, it is an offense against God to cause division within His temple, which belongs solely to Him.
3. Decisions and Applications
I belong to Christ; I am His possession. Because I am a temple of God where the Holy Spirit dwells, I must remain united with other believers who are also His temples. I must ensure that no one—regardless of which leaders they follow—destroys the unity of God's temple.
Today's Prayer
"Lord, help me to maintain the unity of Your people, who are joined together by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:3). I pray for the strength to resist the spirit of division and the grace to protect the oneness of Your Church. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
