‘하나님의 심판은 하나님의 영광을 나타내신다’ 

1. 본문 관찰과 묵상

하나님께서는 (이스라엘에게) 아픈 가시와 찌르는 가시 같았던 두로와 시돈 같은 악한 이웃들을 심판하신다. 하나님께서는 시돈에 전염병을 보내시고 사방에서 밀려드는 칼날로 인해 거리마다 피가 흐르게 하신다. 그리고 하나님께서는 그들 가운데서 하나님의 영광을 나타내신다.  

2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성

하나님의 심판의 날에 시돈은 멸망하지만, 이스라엘은 야곱의 땅으로 돌아와 평화로운 삶을 회복한다.

3. 결단과 적용 

하나님의 심판의 날에, 하나님께서는 이스라엘의 하나님이 만군의 여호와이시며 모든 피조물의 왕이심을 선포하신다. 하나님께서는 하나님의 영광을 나타내시며, 박해 받던 자들의 삶을 회복시켜 그들이 평화로운 삶 속에 정착하게 하시는 ‘회복의 하나님’이심을 선포하신다.

오늘의 기도

주님, 하나님의 신실한 종들을 아프게 하는 가시와 찌르는 가시처럼 조롱하는 악인들을 심판하여 주시고, 고통받는 자들을 그 곤경에서 건져내시어 평화로운 삶 속에 안착하게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

‘God’s judgment reveals God’s glory’

Ezekiel 28:20–26

1. Observation and meditation on the text

God judges malicious neighbors, such as Tyre and Sidon, who act as painful briers and sharp thorns to His people. He sends a plague upon Sidon, causing blood to flow in the streets by the sword, and through this judgment, He reveals His glory.

2. I hear the voice of the Lord through QT

I hear the Lord's voice: On the day of God’s judgment, Sidon will perish, but Israel will return to the land of Jacob and restore their peaceful life.

3. Decisions and applications

On the day of judgment, God declares that the God of Israel is the Lord of Hosts and the King of all creation. He displays His glory and reveals Himself as the God of restoration—the One who restores the lives of the persecuted so they may settle down in peace.

Today's Prayer

Lord, judge the wicked who ridicule Your faithful servants like briers and thorns. Deliver the afflicted from their predicaments, and allow them to settle down in a peaceful life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
