‘너는 예수를 어떤 사람이라고 하느냐?’
본문관찰과 묵상
사람들이 고침받은 맹인을 바리새인들에게 데리고 갔다. 바리새인들은 예수가 안식일을 어기며 맹인을 고쳤다고 하나님께로부터 온자가 아니라했다. 혹자는 죄인이 어떻게 표적을 행하겠느냐고 했다. 맹인은 그가 선지자라했다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
맹인의 부모는 출교당할까 두려워 누가 고쳤는지 모른다고 했다. 장성한 자식에게 물어보라고 했다. 맹인이었던 자는 예수가 죄인인지 아닌지는 모르나 아는 것은 자신이 맹인이었는데 고침받았으니 예수는 하나님으로부터 온자라고 했다. 나는 예수를 어떤 사람이라고 하는가?
결단과 적용
나 같은 죄인이 죄에서 자유 함을 받고 예수를 섬기는 사람으로 변화받게 하신 예수는 하나님이라고 나는 고백한다. 하나님은 죄인의 말이 아닌 하나님의 뜻대로 사는 경건한 자의 말을 들으시는 줄을 알기 때문이다. 나를 구원하시고 변화시켜 의롭다 칭해주시고 나의 기도를 들어 응답해주시는 주님을 찬양하며 오늘도 증인으로 삽니다. 예수님은 나의눈을 뜨게 하신 하나님입니다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Jews brought the man who had been blind to the Pharisees. They judged that since Jesus healed the man on Sabbath, he broke the law. Therefore, Jesus was not from God. Some others argued that if Jesus was not from God how he could heal the man. The healed man called Jesus a prophet from God.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
The healed man’s parents answered to the Pharisees that he did not know who healed their son out of fear of being excommunication from Jewish community. They recommended the Pharisees to ask their son because he was a grown man. Their son answered to the leaders that he did not know whether Jesus was a sinner or not. What he knew was he was blind but now he could see. So, he believed that Jesus was from God. What have I to say about Jesus?
Decisions and applications
Such a sinner like me has been transformed to be a servant of Jesus Christ who sets me free from my sins. Then, I can confess Jesus was from God who has transformed me. Since God never listens to sinners but the godly who obeyed God’s will, I do believe that Jesus is God himself. Therefore, I praise the Lord who saved, transformed, and called me righteous and listened to my prayers. And I keep on witnessing Jesus today because Jesus is God who opened my eyes.
