‘나는 예수를 부인하나? 아니면 증거하나?’
본문관찰과 묵상
믿음이 좋다고 주장하던 베드로는 여종의 질문에 예수를 모른다고 했다. 함께 불을 쬐고 있던 사람의 질문에도 부인했다. 베드로의 칼에 오른쪽 귀가 짤렸던 말고의 친척의 질문에도 베드로는 예수를 부인했다. 닭이 울었다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
그러나 예수는 대제사장앞에 죄인으로 끌려와서도 자신을 당당하게 나타냈다. 정치적, 반유대적인 것을 말한 것이 아니라 복음을 다 듣게 전했는데 숨길것이 없으니 당당했다. 진리에 서 있는 사람들은 어떤 협박에도 굳게서있다.
결단과 적용
나는 사방으로 우겨쌈을 당하고 거짓에 속은 사람들에게 집중공격을 받고 있다. 그런데 내 마음은 잔잔한 호수같다. 왜? 나는 진리안에 있기 때문이다. 변명하지 않아도 진리는 변치않는다. 그리고 때가 되면 진리는 알려진다. 오늘도 생전처음 당하는 일에도 평안케 해주시는 진리의 주님께 감사드린다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Peter who guaranteed not to leave from Jesus no matter what might happen to him denied Jesus when a female servant asked him whether he was Jesus’ disciple or not. Peter denied Jesus again when he was asked by those who were standing around fire to warming themselves. At the third time, a relative of Malchus who’s right ear was cut off by the sword of Peter asked Peter the same question, and Peter denied Jesus, and right at that moment a rooster began to crow.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
On the contrary Jesus was never reluctant to reveal who he was in the presence of the High Priest, Annas even though he was falsely accused. Jesus said confidently that whatever he said in public never violated law, but he declared the good news. Likewise, anyone who stands on the Truth is never be shaken at all no matter what may happen to them.
Decisions and applications
I have been hard pressed on every side by those who have been deceived by the liars. Strangely enough, however, my heart is so peaceful like a calm lake. Why? Because I am standing upon the Truth, which will never be changed by any excuses or attacks. And then when God’s time comes, the Truth will be revealed to all people. Therefore, today I give thanks to God who gives me such a peace like a river at such an unprecedented attacks by the false accusers.
