‘승리는 말씀에 순종할 때 임한다’
본문관찰과 묵상
여호수아가 5천명의 군사와 함께 아이 성 앞에서 거짓으로 패한 척 도망하자 아이성의 모든 백성이 추격했다. 여호수아가 신호를 보내자 3만명의 복병이 비어 있는 아이 성을 쳐서 멸망시켰다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님은 이미 이스라엘 백성들 편에 섰다. 하나님이 나와 함께 하심이 복이요 능력이다. 여호수아와 백성들은 하나님의 말씀대로 순종했다. 순종할 때 하나님의 계획이 완성된다.
결단과 적용
‘하나님께 가까히 함이 나의 복이라’ (시 73:28). ‘하나님을 가까이 하라 그리하면 너희를 가까이 하시리라’ (약 4:8). ‘순종이 제사보다 낫고 듣는 것이 수양의 기름보다 낫다’ (삼상 15:22). 말씀 QT 하다 주님의 음성을 듣게 하시고 예수님이 하나님께 죽기까지 순종함 같이 오늘 나도 끝까지 주님 말씀에 순종한다. 기적은 일어나리라!

Observation and meditation on the text
When Joshua along with 5,000 men lured people in Ai by fleeing away from them, all the people in Ai pursued Israel. When Joshua sent the Israelites a sign, the 30,000 Israel soldiers rose from ambush and attacked the city of Ai which was empty and destroyed it.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God had already stood by the Israelites. It is blessing and power that the Lord is with me. Joshua and the Israelites obeyed God’ words. God’s plan was fulfilled with the obedience of people.
Decisions and applications
‘To get nearer to God is my blessing’ (Ps. 73:28). ‘Come near to God, then He will get near to you’ (Jam. 4:8). ‘To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams’ (I Sam. 15:22). Lord, let me hear your voice as I do my QT. Then, I will obey you all the way to the end as my Lord Jesus obeyed God until he was crucified. Miracles will be brought about by Him.
