‘회막 중심의 전략과 전술로 살라’

본문관찰과 묵상     

     여호수아는 전략가였다.  북쪽에는 유다지파 남쪽에는 요셉의 2지파가 땅을 받았다.  길갈 중심사역에서 가나안의 중심인 실로에 회막을 세우고 회막중심 전략을 폈다. 

QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성

     게으름과 두려움으로 아직 땅을 정복하지 못한 7지파를 불러 한 지파에서 3명씩 대표를 뽑아 땅을 정탐케 했다.  그리고 그림으로 그려오게 하고 회막 앞, 즉 하나님 앞에서 제비 뽑아 땅을 분배했다.

결단과 적용

     여호수아의 전략은 첫째, 실로에 회막을 세워 하나님중심의 삶으 로 인도했다.  둘째, 땅을 정복하지 못하는 7지파에서 대표를 뽑아 정탐케 하고 제비 뽑아 땅을 분배하고 자신들이 전심을 다해 정복 하도록 동기를 부여했다.  나는 가만히 있는데 하나님 이 다 해 주시 는 것이 아니다.  내가 눈물로 씨를 뿌릴 때 거두게 하신다.

Observation and meditation on the text

     Joshua was a strategist.  Northern land was conquered by Judah, and Southern land by the two tribes of Joseph.  Joshua moved from Gilgal-centered strategy to Shilo-centered to conquer the central part of the land.  Joshua established at Shilo the tabernacle and lead people to live God-centered life.     

I hear the voice of the Lord through QT

     Joshua recruited 3 men from each of the 7 tribes who could not conquer the land out of laziness or fear.  Joshua dispatched them as spies to the land and let them draw the land as they investigated.  Then, before God, before the tabernacle, they cast a lot to receive their own allotment of the land. 

Decisions and applications

     I see Joshua’s strategy.  First, lead people to live God-centered life by establishing the tabernacle at Shilo.  Second, he recruited spies from the 7 tribes who could not conquer the land yet.  And distributed the land by casting a lot before God and encouraged and motivated them to conquer their allotment by faith in God.  God never accomplishes God’s will without me.   When I sow the seeds with tears, God helps me to reap what I have sown.
