‘십자가 사건에서 하나님의 계시를 받자’
1. 본문 관찰과 묵상
예수가 오전 9시에 십자가에 못밖힌후 오후 3시에 운명하셨다. 역사에 기록된 사건이다. 그러나 백부장 은 “이는 진정 하나님의 아들이었다”는 계시를 받았다.
2. QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
예수가 운명하시며 성소 휘장이 위로부터 아래로 찢어져 둘이 되고 자던 성도들이 부활했고 백부장도 예수를 하나님의 아들이라 고백했다.
3. 결단과 적용
예수에게 일어난 모든 일은 역사적인 사건 이었고 하나님의 계시적인 사건임을 영적으로 깨닫는다. 예수의 죽으심과 부활로 나도 죄에 대해 죽고 의에 대해 살아났다. 나를 위해 죽으시고 나를 위해 부활하셨다.
오늘의 기도
이방인 백부장의 고백이 나의 고백이 되게 하소서! “이는 진실로 하나님의 아들이셨다” (마 27:54). 오늘도 하나님의 아들 예수가 내게 주신 새 생명으로 예수를 증거하며 살게 하소서! 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다.
‘Get God’s Revelation from the Cross’
Mt. 27:45-56
1. Observation and Meditation
Jesus was crucified at 9:00 AM and died at 3:00 PM. While these are recorded facts of human history, they also contain divine revelation. Upon witnessing these events, the centurion received this revelation and declared, “Surely, he was the Son of God!” (Matthew 27:54).
2. Hearing the Voice of the Lord
Through this meditation, I hear the Lord speaking: At the moment of Jesus’ death, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, and deceased believers were raised to life. Even a Roman centurion, a Gentile, was moved to confess that Jesus was truly the Son of God. These signs confirm that the cross was not a defeat, but a supernatural victory.
3. Decisions and Applications
All events surrounding Jesus occurred within human history, yet they serve as God’s spiritual revelation to us. Through His crucifixion and resurrection, I have died to sin and been raised to God’s righteousness. Jesus’ historical and spiritual journey has become my personal history; He died for my sins and rose to give me new life. Today, I choose to live in the reality of that finished work of the Son of God.
Today's Prayer
Lord, let the centurion’s confession be my own: “Surely, Jesus was the Son of God.” By the new life given to me through the death and resurrection of Your Son, help me to be a witness for Him today. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
