‘내가 떠나는 것이 너희에게 유익이라’
본문관찰과 묵상
예수가 죽고 부활해 승천하는 것이 우리에게 유익이라 했다. 첫째, 예수 없는 자리에 보혜사 성령이 오시기 때문이다. 둘째, 예수가 없어도 보혜사 성령이 가르치시고 예수의 말씀을 생각나게 하기 때문이다. 예수가 떠나면 보혜사 성령이 와서 이 세상의 통치자들이 죄와 의와 심판에 대해 세상을 책망하여 깨우시기 때문이다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
보혜사 성령이 하는 일은 하나님이 나에게 알려야 할 일을 예수로부터 받아 나에게 말씀해 주신다. 즉 보혜사 성령은 부활한 예수의 영이다. 내가 구하고 찾고 기도하면 가장 귀한 이 성령을 나에게 주신다.
결단과 적용
내게 성령으로 예수가 말씀해주니 감사드린다. 내가 죽어야 교회가 산다. 역지사지로 또 생각하게 하시니 감사하다. 상대편의 신발을 신고 그의 입장에서 일어나는 일을 보면 이해가 간다. 내가 72세다. 아들같은 40대 젊은이들을 내가 이해하지 않으면 누가 이해하랴. 내가 죽어 교회를 살리게 하소서!

John 16:1-15
Observation and meditation on the text
Jesus said, it was for my good that he would die and raised again to be ascended into heaven. First, if Jesus is absent here, the Advocate will replace his absence. Second, during the absence of Jesus, the Holy Spirit will teach me and remind me of the teachings of Jesus. Since Jesus went away from us, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit has proved the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment on the rulers of this world.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
The ministry of the Advocate, the Holy Spirit is to receive what God plans to do from Jesus and to deliver it to me. The Advocate is the resurrected Jesus’ Spirit. If I ask, seek, and knock, then the door will be opened, and I will receive the Holy Spirit from God.
Decisions and applications
I give thanks to Jesus for his speaking to me through His Holy Spirit. If I die, then His church shall be alive. I thank God for his speaking to me to think from others point of view. When I put my feet into other’s moccasin, I can understand his heart. I am 72 years old man. I must understand such young people as 40’s. Lord, please revive church and her members through my crucifixion.
