‘하나님과 백성 사이에 서라’
본문 관찰과 묵상
12지파중 레위인은 전쟁참여의 계수에 들지 않았다. 레위 지파는 성막과 모든 기구 및 부속품 관리책임을 맡았다. 성막을 걷고 세우는 일도 레위인이 맡았다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
레위인은 증거의 장막 사방에 진을 쳐서 이스라엘 백성에게 하나님의 진노가 임하지 않게 하는 책임을 맡았다. 즉 레위인은 하나님과 백성의 중간에 서는 제사장 직이었다. 백성들이 하나님중심으로 살게 하는 큰 사명을 받았다.
결단과 적용
오늘의 그리스도인들은 하나님과 백성 사이에 중보자가 되야 한다. 하나님의 뜻을 잘 전하고 백성들의 죄를 지고 하나님께 기도하여 죄사함을 받게 해야 한다. 이를 위하여 나는 오늘도 예수를 증거하며 살아간다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Out of 12 tribes only the Levites were not counted for wars. They were commanded to take care of the Tabernacle of the Covenant Law, all its furnishings and everything belonging to it. They were also in charge of taking it down to move and to be set up when they stopped.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
The Levites were commissioned by God to set up their tents around the tabernacle of covenant law so that God’s wrath would not fall on the Israelites. In other words, the Levites were appointed by God to be the priests who should stand between God and people. They were ordered by God to lead the Israelites to live God-centered life.
Decisions and applications
Contemporary Christians should be mediators between God and people too. I am called to deliver God’s message as it is to people and pray for them to God so that they may be forgiven from their sins. Therefore, today I keep on witnessing Jesus.
