‘보혜사 성령이 오시면 기적을 체험하리라’
본문관찰과 묵상
예수는 아직 보혜사 성령을 체험하지 못한 제자들에게 그때까지 일어날 일에 대해 말했다. 지금까지는 예수가 우리를 위해 기도했지만 그때에는 예수의 이름으로 기도하면 하나님이 응답하신다. 그때에 제자들이 다 도망가겠으나 세상을 이기고 부활 승천한 예수를 보고 믿고 담대히 이겨나가라고 했다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
비유로 말할 때 깨닫지 못하던 제자들이 예수가 하나님으로부터 왔다가 십자가에서 죽고 부활후 승천하여 하나님께로 간다는 직설법의 말을 듣고 예수가 누군가 깨달았다. 그러나 보혜사 성령을 받기전에 그들은 실패할 것이다. 보혜사 성령을 받고 승리하신 예수의 이름으로 구하면 하나님이 응답하신다. 나도 예수처럼 세상을 이기고 승리한다.
결단과 적용
오늘도 성령충만이 나를 세상에서 이기게 한다. 온갖 누명을 쓰고 핍박과 욕을 받아도 보혜사 성령이 함께 하시니 평안하다. 주님 가신길을 나도 간다. 나 자신을 부인하고 십자가를 지고 죽은 영혼들을 살리려고 한 알의 밀알로 죽으러 예수를 따라간다. 내가 죽으면 많은 영혼이 살기에 오늘도 복음을 전하며 산다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Jesus prophesied what would happen to his disciples until they would be filled with the Holy Spirit, the Advocate in the future. Jesus said until that time, Jesus would have been praying for them, but when they would be filled with the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, they should pray in Jesus’ name, then God would answer to their prayers. All disciples would be scattered when Jesus would be crucified, at the end they should overcome the evil world with boldness by witnessing Jesus Christ who had overcome all the odds by being resurrected and ascended to heaven after crucifixion.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Disciples understood who Jesus was when Jesus did not tell them in parables but straightly that he was sent by God to the world and should return to the Father upon his crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. However, Jesus told them they would be scattered until they would be filled with the Holy Spirit who would be sent by Jesus. If I am filled with the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, and pray in Jesus’ name who has overcome the world, the God will answer to my prayers so that I can also overcome the world.
Decisions and applications
By being filled with the Holy Spirit, I overcome the world today. My heart is peaceful because the Holy Spirit is with me in the middle of afflictions and false accusations. I follow the way of the cross of Jesus. I deny myself and take up my cross and follow Jesus Christ to die as a grain to save the lost souls. I keep on witnessing Jesus Christ to save souls by crucifying myself with Jesus.
